Dear TST enthusiasts, I looked for this week's IRL course in the TGCTOURS database because I seemed to remember it was in there. However, it wasn't... so either my memory is toying with me or it has been removed. Thus, I looked for a replacement - something a bit lot trickier than last week - something to challenge you low-scoring monsters. And I ended up in...... Louisiana!! And if anyone wants to ask why on earth we didn't play this last week; I'm from Europe... USA or AUS... it's all the same to me... Seriously though, this week's course - TQC English Turn GC - is a Jack Nicklaus design and actually hosted PGA events by many names over the years until TPC Louisiana came along. It hasn't been used for a while because the course proved to be a challenge for our IRL counterparts; undulating greens, water in play on seventeen of the eighteen holes, an island green. So, perfect to challenge you all!! There's a bit of wind and rain on Saturday - fairways and greens will soften as a result. Dry and sunny on Sunday and a GreensKeeper that will go a little overboard with mowing the (still slightly damp) greens to speed them up... Those of you who like double or triple breaks on putts; you’ll love this one! For all others my advice is to hit your approaches close because you really don't want any long putts on these greens... Have fun and good luck, Frans

Art Art Vandelay I think you need to crash into a new nemesis. Seem to have gone backwards at this TST lark. It's only the cracking courses that keep me here. Loved this one. -2 at the end of my tournament (otherwise known as THE CUT!).

This is the question when I can start -9, -12 with one Humph. Sorry you are struggling Ben SkyBlueBen, I wish I could help you be a better nemesis but I am stuck with you. And likewise. Onward!

Opening up with a 66 this week. I played the round in 2 parts, probably not the best idea to start it last night when I was tired but anyway. Almost got an ace on 17, the ball rolled off the right edge around the back of the hole for a tap in birdie.

That could be, although I tend to go straight in to whatever rounds i am playing without even stretching. Might be why I am so meh at this game, but even my frustrating rounds relax me and give me joy so I'll take that every time no matter the number! Onward!

Tough greens. Had a good opening round but left myself in some bad spots in round two. Fun course that hopefully will open up for me in last two rounds.

Correctamundo about needing to hit it close. Plenty of squirrely breaks around the cup and the ball can run away from you if you over hit it a touch. I did well in the low winds but just fell apart a bit in Rd3. -49 total. Hoping for another top 10. Cheers

I think this was my breakout week for TST. -13, -12, -10, -17 for -52. I think the tough greens will help me out since one putts will be tougher to get and that's where I usually lose strokes to the field. Round 4 was one of those rounds I wouldn't have even imagined I could pull off. I didn't even putt especially well but I had an 8.2 ft proximity to the hole; holed out on the first hole, had a chip in and hit the pin from the fairway on two other occasions. No way my score holds up against the likes of Loveskud but this is my best TST score ever and should be my first ever top 10.

63 second round. Made eagle on the second, or whatever the first par 5 is. Got a few birdies here and there until finishing with four straight.
I might start not taking too much notice of the flagstick when putting...had one on 14 where it was leaning heavily to the right, the hole looked like it sloped a bit right, but the putt broke left. I did make one earlier on where it looked like it was leaning right but was an illusion, it was actually vertical (the top of it was dead centre in the wind meter) but the hole was on a left leaning slope. Tough greens!

Oh I think it is a tough track, but tell that to the two at -28 after 36 holes! It is a unforgiving job you are doing Frans, but I appreciate you and your efforts. Onward!

I forgot to mention that both those putts were about 6 feet, they certainly weren't long ones
