Just play the effing game! Do it to the best of your ability and enjoy it. I'm gagged and tied down on a bus trundling off to the qualifier...again...but I still enjoy figuring out how I'll muck up my next round!

I love how this topic has been coming up every couple of months for years now. Really got to make sure everyone gets as many chances as possible to provide their opinion of something no one here can change.

Have a look at the scores in your tier before playing if you wish and see what you are aiming for and ignore the main leaderboard.
Personally I do that before I play 2nd round to get idea of cut line. If I've done ok then I look toward the top to see what I'm needing each round. Or vice versa if I've had a mare to try to keep away from 2 demotionville.
No need to worry about the top folk unless you are one of them. Few of those folk play as they're in societies like one I'm in.

Been reading the comments on the challenge circuit in game boards. And many are saying that pro tgc players should only stick to their appropriate tours. Which I somewhat agree with. This weeks lowest golfer is at -85. And supposedly a top platinum player. I would say out of respect. They need to quit tying up the leaderboards with their lower scores. It’s actually frustrating seeing players -21 to -22 round when you play the game. Yes .. we should only focus on the leaderboards of our groups here. But come on .. go play in your correct groupings . It’s really aggravating many Their scores don’t count in the TGC CC tours. What is the big deal? Anybody can play in pretty much any society unless private. I’m in CC-E and I have no issue whatsoever with the top Plat players playing. They also use those scores for other leagues. All you really have to do is focus on your particular Tier of CC. Sandbagger, you should also use their ghosts to help guide you as well. I learned a lot using the top Plat players ghosts with some angles and shots towards the greens. You can also see their bag when using their ghost. I found a particular iron from a Plat players bag and it helped. Basically, they can help you out.

Yeah! Maybe there should be a society for every level of CC. A CC-L society, a CC-G society, all the way up to CC-A. This way no one will get their feelings hurt. Because c'mon man....you cant expect it to be o.k. for a CC-F guy to have to look at their leaderboard and see a CC-A guy on there. How unfair is that!? Whoever said "Americans don't understand sarcasm" has clearly never met Ben Melius. I'm impressed! 😂 Are you sure you're not part Canadian? The OP is ridiculous, sorry. Why can't anyone play whatever society they want to? And how do you plan to police this ban on the Pro players? And what about the players who aren't even affiliated with TGCT using all manner of dodgy controllers? And what about Challenge Circuit players who try their hand on the Pro Tours? Is that allowed? There's a huge difference in standard even within the Challenge Circuit. The only leaderboard you need to worry about is the one that you see when you open up the site. That's it. Apart from that have the odd round with one of these great player's ghosts, see how they do it, how they manage the course, what type of shots they play. It might help!

Even if you had a separate tier for every level of the Challenge Circuit, and even if everyone on TGCT obeyed new rules to prevent them playing outside their own tier (because it's unenforceable in game), you'd still have hundreds of non-TGCT players playing in there with no way to stop them. Until the game sorts out its handicap system and allows restriction of societies based on that, you'll always have a huge range of scores in any tournament (and even if they did manage to restrict it you'd end up with people manipulating their handicap to get into 'easy' tournaments). That's why this site exists, to give us leaderboards that actually mean something.

I think it’s real BS as well.It would be different if was a few stragglers coming in once in a while who shoot -20 each round. But it’s a whole boat load of non challenge circuit pro players.Get out of your momma’s basement and do something else instead of tying up leaderboards of average joe tgc players.

This thread is getting almost as bad as the in-game comment section within the societies. Can't wait for the first "They're all cheating and using hacked software!!!!!" comments to hit. Simple solution... 1) pay no attention to the in-game leaderboard 2) Check TGCT website for scores in your flight 3) Profit

Unfortunately, this is a low IQ comment. The higher tour level players playing in CC have 0 affect on what you are able to accomplish on CC. Personally, I enjoy the competition with the other tour players playing on CC. I am not aware of one player in "momma's basement". The in-game society leaderboard is irrelevant, hence the whole reason TGCT exists in the first place!

Imagine having that mentality in real golf. I usually shoot in the 80s currently but I enjoy playing with scratch or low handicap players because I try to keep up with them and more often than not play better myself as a result.
I'm usually nowhere near the top in TST, but it doesn't take away from my enjoyment playing it. If you're getting upset over a leaderboard that means nothing perhaps a glass of concrete is in order 🙄

Stop trying to sugar coat this. You know it stinks and it’s a real let down seeing how good some are. It’s like pouring salt on an open wound. As one person commented; maybe the next version of this game will have a more efficient society mode. And to the ones on here who say “don’t worry about it”.I’m sure your the same ones who also think it stinks.Stop jumping on the bad wagon and really express how you feel for once

I feel some of these responses in this thread are the silliest things I've read on these forums, and that's saying something. Seriously, just ignore the in-society scoreboard! Problem solved!

Also, seems like the OP was thinking this thread would get a different result and is not happy that 95 percent of people dont give a sh#t. Then again, it could be the Deep State has infiltrated TGC and is not allowing people to "really express how you feel for once"...someone should look into that. Preferably someone who has plenty of time on their hands because they never come out of their momma's basement. ...o.k. I have to be done with this nonsense. Edit....one more. "Pouring salt in an open wound" might be the most overly dramatic thing ive ever read here referring to video game golf.

We've all bought the game and we can all join and play in the societies we want to. If good players score well playing in the Challenge Circuit Society so what? Who cares? Well we know who cares in this thread but I can't for the life of me understand why?? Only the scoreboard in here matters re whichever level a person is playing on and besides, CCA play the same course as CCZ and so are on the same leaderboard in game, what are we supposed to do about that? I say grow a pair and stop whining about sh%$ all.

I like to use my in-game 'position' to gauge how I might be faring in my CC-Flight.
If I'm in the top 600 or so, that's likely to make a cut. If I start dropping into the upper 700s, I better get aggressive and hole some chips, LOL.
