Hi everyone,
Is there a way to get voluntarily demoted to a lower tour without simply playing badly for weeks on end?
I'm a CC-G player (moved straight up from CC-J a few months ago after a reasonable showing in a promotion event) but however well I play I cannot get anywhere near competitive at this level. It can be quite demoralising to play to the best of your ability but only barely scraping through the cut.
I don't really have time to practice - I only play a few hours a week when I'm either not working and/or the kids are out!
Love playing TGC tours and want to continue, but at a competitive level.

The way I did it (I was in Kinetic) was to leave the Tour by joining the Beer League (or whatever it's called now) for a week, then signing up for and playing the Tour Qualifier. I wound up in CC-D. I am now in CC-F but that's a different story LOL.

Lol I've been doing that in Elite all season. I don't want to be demoted though, because I'll most likely just end up being promoted again anyway.

Thanks for the advice - not sure it was a success though...: Quit the main Tour, hacked around in the Beer League for a couple of weeks, then joined the Tour Qualifier. Had a very average four rounds (-18 or so).... and have been plonked straight into CC-B Back to the drawing board...
