Week 27 takes us to the sandhills of Nebraska and Mullen County Municipal (technically Mullen Municipal (TGCT) for those of you who want some practice rounds). The talented_mr_yipley was kind enough to turn his rookie course into a tour stop for us and I think it should be a fun week. If you are unfamiliar with some of the more famous courses in Nebraska, I would suggest you study up on Sand Hills Golf Club by Coore/Crenshaw and Landmand by King/Collins so you can realize the dramatic scenes created by placing a golf course in the middle of hundreds of miles of rolling prairie hills with nothing else around it. From the designer: Nearly three decades after the opening of Coore and Crenshaw’s Sand Hills, the fine folks of Hooker County, NE who don’t count themselves among golf's “elite” -- all 500-600 of them -- were pining for a place to call their own. Sprawling behind the old Mullen Bingo Hall (which now doubles as a clubhouse!) was a beautiful tract of rolling hills covered in prairie grasses and bristly thatch. After gently peeling those layers back, a new gem of the public golf world was uncovered.

-8 first round. Didn't have much luck, couldn't land many approaches close so kept setting up medium length putts that always had a fair amount of break, and most of them missed by a whisker as well. Probably gonna need a -12 second round to make the cut.

For those of you who love to look ahead and play practice rounds... I have made a change to next week's course. Since it is masters week next week and since there was a recent Augusta/Mackenzie style course published, I switched things up and added in Old Mackenzie for the week 28. It will be 187 greens for all four rounds as well, so buckle up and welcome to Masters week.
We now have the next 9 weeks settled and scheduled on Elite.
Week 28 - Old Mackenzie Week 29 - Old Wickham Heath Week 30 - Hillcountry Clay Week 31 - Royal St. Gerald Week 32 - Recreation Yard Week 33 - Bellaraine Week 34 - Escondite Week 35 - Lahinch (2019 Irish Open) Decided to return to a classic for the Northern Ireland Open week for the 4th year in a row. -9 and -10 in the final two rounds to get to -39 for the week. I suppose it's an improvement overall since earlier in the season I was missing a lot of cuts, now looking to improve to move up those leaderboards more.
