Welcome to week 25! We find ourselves back on the links playing a course by shotstone ! This is his debut on plat and it's a mean one featuring quite a few diabolical hole designs and greens meant to punish errant shots (I'm looking at you, hole 18). Another one of many excellent Dream Team courses, Shotstone came in as an alternate in the competition and was able to elevate himself to the main field with this stellar design!  I've pulled back on the conditions this week as we have quite a doozy for the players who qualify for the WGC event next week, as for those that don't make the cut the alternate course is what I'd consider on the easier side of the spectrum. Have fun out there and make sure to stay off the roads! |

Lovely course!
Played okay but threw away my chance of making the cut with dreadful putting on the back nine in round 2.

I might pop up from Elite and play this for a bit of practice this week. I played in a real event called the Copperhead in late December at a similarly tough course, at least for my skills at the time. A few metres off the (narrow) fairways and goodbye golf ball 😳

Hello. I'm happy to report another score in the -40s! After my super exciting T18 last week with -48, my -44 this week will be for.... a missed cut lol. Because the split is -18 -26 unfortunately. I was sick over the weekend and thought it'd be a genius idea to jump right into Plat.   Cheers, good luck, and see you all next week! |

Hello. I'm happy to report another score in the -40s! After my super exciting T18 last week with -48, my -44 this week will be for.... a missed cut lol. Because the split is -18 -26 unfortunately. Yeah, something similar although was looking good with a -13 in Rd1. The greens absolutely robbed me in Rd2 including a missed 4 footer from pin high left of the hole on 16 that had pips moving ever so slightly to the right at the hole so aimed left centre of the cup and the thing moved 6 inches left. Head scratching stuff. Had plenty more that J curved either just in front or just behind the cup without dropping. -7 in Rd2 and pretty sure I'll avoid a red mark but sheesh. A shame my albatross in Rd3 won't count for anything. Cheers |

Well after a horrendous week last week for me around Sawgrass, I've only gone and made the cut this week. This is only my 4th cut made on the tour this season having been an expert at finishing rd2 sat between the cut line and the demo line. I actually prefer this types of course set up rather than previous week's where having to shoot sub 55 to be competitive. Some challenging pin positions on some holes requiring accurate approach play which I managed to get right. Going to be a strange feeling having to now complete rounds 3 and 4.
