My entry for VctryLn's fantasy design contest, unfortunately wasn't finished in time and has a lot of stuff left largely as placeholders. However, I figure I'll make the best of the situation by inviting people to play it as it is and give me some feedback before I plow on with getting it to how I wanted it to be originally. Yes, I know that some of the tees are relatively blind and there's a chance that some of the pins don't really work too, as I basically chucked them down at the last second and published what I had, but I think that the course is a lot of fun and pretty unique. If you guys could let me know what you think, that would be great! Thanks.

I really enjoyed the layout with a course intertwined throughout the city. The city itself gave off a Seattle vibe with the streets of Denny Way and Broad below and the city on an angle to the Space Needle and Elliott Bay, the hill behind could even be Queen Anne. The plot itself (although unfinished) looks good i.imgur.com/Ci25fHC.jpgLovely clubhouse with huge putting green i.imgur.com/AJj1QrN.jpg the sails looked great. Love the prominent tower i.imgur.com/l48TL2e.jpgThe train tracks are really well done i.imgur.com/fDIBQNO.jpgThe multi-use sports ground looks great i.imgur.com/KtqXGhs.jpg (even a cricket pitch!) The mystery of the transition shot with just the water in the background i.imgur.com/WnMFwBv.jpg built up the suspense of what was to appear in front of me. A red-slow off the 1st didn't get me off to a good start but being a par 5 I knew I could make up for it and then crossing the tracks. The second over the field was a good hole and really nicely done bunkering. Being a fantasy course I will always be looking for shortcuts so the road looked like the obvious choice for a 380 yard drive. Calling it heavy rough was a tough call. Beautiful little par 3 5th. The 6th again was an opportunity to get a local bounce. I missed the 7th right and played off the road. On the 8th I was playing for the train line but a red-fast put me on the 2nd fairway. 10th was the road hole, and from 11 on I can see this is where you ran out of time. The 13th was a brute being downhill and left to right wind. I should have played off the back wall on 15. Love the risk/reward of 17 and I think I was unlucky catching the fringe. The lion's mouth template 18th is one of the biggest greens I've seen. I can see why it's the last hole as you can only swim over with your putter between your teeth. Really enjoyed the round and hopefully you can get to finish the course.

Thanks for that sandgroper! The environment is actually loosely based on two places that I’ve been lucky enough to live in - the (slightly more complete) city side takes inspiration from Sydney, Australia - more exactly from Coogee and Waverley, just a short distance from Bondi Beach. Features include Coogee Oval, the railway around Central Station, Coogee Beach and a couple of bars and hotels around there, and the coastal walk. The tower is also partly based on Sydney Tower, but mainly takes inspiration from the i360 in Brighton. The clubhouse is based on Waverley bowls club, and the “putting green” is actually meant to be a bowling green! The other half of the plot (much more unfinished) is based on my university town of Aberystwyth in Wales. This takes the form of Constitution Hill, the pier, the seafront road and the mountain railway, along with a couple of smaller touches including my university halls! The working name of the course was Coogerystwyth as a nod to the two inspirations but I wasn’t sure how I felt about that!

It's really cool. Definate Sydney vibes. Hard to comment much more because I have no idea what's finished and what isn't. Love the drive over the rugby pitch (yes I know Coogee oval and you've done a good job!) Golf's good too.
