Grasmhor, a course heavily inspired by the Renaissance Club in East Lothian, has been published (pronounced "gras-vor"). The course is setup to play fairly easily and be "Casuals Friendly" and will allow schedulers to crank up the difficulty as deemed appropriate. Suggested settings: Wind: W, medium or strong Lighting: Default, which is neutral, mid day and bright. Or go with Dawn or Dawn and clear. Greens: running at 178, adjust to your preference Fairways: "Soft" bug due Highlands. My default is firm. More info and pics to follow. Vic, feel free to work your magic! karma4u

Grasmhor (or “Graceful”), as stated above, is an “inspired by” course of the Renaissance Club (Doak) which has hosted both Scottish Opens-Men and Women. The idea hatched as I was watching the Scottish Open in 2020 and realized what a cool spot this was…nestled right in there with the legendary North Berwick and Muirfield is this newer Tom Doak gem. The plot was started last year, but I put in on the shelf to work on my Design Contest courses this year. I got the itch to do something different around the Holidays and decided to finish it. While many of the holes are made to resemble their real life counterparts, I did take some liberties with the routing and most of the holes. I hope the overall look and feel work to give the modern links feeling that the real course provides. It is a fairly unique layout that starts inland and moves down and back around the clubhouse. While the clubhouse area is fairly tree-lined, starting with the 6th hole, you head towards the water. Here is where I took some liberties and did not include the trees that line IRL holes 7 and 8 along the water. Hence, my course has holes 7-10 as the feature holes along the coast. The course is designed to play fairly easily on basic settings, but this will allow you to increase the wind and firmness to your liking to obtain more of the links feel. Here are a few more pictures for you taken with the dawn lighting/clear, which gives it a little different look/feel… Have fun out there!

Lovely pix - lovely course. Thanks for T-Ready. Straight in for a Big Week-Ender Fri 11-13 Feb. GENESIS Scottish Open - 3D 54H. Fyi - last weeks BWE venue got 2,800 plays, so I think your handicap's covered. Hope to see you in the CGC 'clubhouse' over the weekend - cheers for your work.

^^ You're welcome. Fyi - last weeks BWE venue got 2,800 plays.. Btw, I undersold previous weeks BWE, it in fact got 3K plays. And if you wanna check it out, it's a beaut from Mav - Noord Strand Tour 2. And cheers to him for creating a 'Casuals Friendly' T-Ready edition. And speaking of hefty plays, a fantastic 3 days for Grasmhor at CGC. A field of 1,400 gave it 3.4K well deserved plays at our Scottish Open. Earning 4.5 Stars, and plenty of favourites - the guys very clearly enjoyed.

Wonderful course. In decent winds I had a pretty good round. On the 4th I hit a ripper 3W into a decent headwind to setup eagle. With the tailwind the burn on 13 wasn't a problem. Good looking planting with pops of colour.
