Dear TST enthusiasts, This week it's time for the Pebble Beach Classic at the course we all know. A weather front passing on day two softens the greens and fairways but this course is still tricky and plays long in these conditions; things firm up again over the weekend but the greenskeeper promised to keep the greens 'under control'. Decided to have another go at this, first time I have since this version of the game came out. Aiming shots wasn't too hard, but did have a couple of misreads on the greens. On the other hand I dropped some tricky putts as well that I never expected to, including one for eagle on the 18th to bring my first round score to 61. I'm pretty happy with that for a first go for a while.

Despite making an absolute mess of the back nine in the second round - resulting in two bogies, one could argue I’m once again perfectly positioned to throw it all away again in round 3… 😎

Quite happy with my clean -6 opener.
+2 round 2 featured more Humphs than a Bogart film festival.

Went -1/-4, think it's the first time I've been under par after the first two rounds. Fun course!

After a brief layoff due to the Xmas holiday period I'm back playing and the greens got me this week.
Always enjoy playing the big name courses.

62 second round, currently tied 10th at -19. Couple of annoying bogeys this round but I'm enjoying the different challenge of this tour. Might just stick around a while 😜

Just checked the leaderboard, who is this fransslabak tied in 1st   All I can say is, thank goodness for TST, atleast I can make 1 cut a week atleast  -29 finish for me, 4 Bogeys, 1 B/F round, happy days  Good Luck all, play well |

Ahh, good old P***le... wait, that's censored? Well, son of a bi- So, good old COBBLE. That's better. I enjoy going around this every once in a while, despite the odd tough green here and there. My enjoyment points might have also been topped up by the fact that this venue here, in this version that we're playing too, was the first time I made the cut on here last season. That showed me the way of "hey, I can actually do kinda alright!", ahh good times. Ended up finishing tied 61st with a +1 final, sadly short of the first time I could have went even or under par too, but that came a few weeks later. This is probably my one and only chance to go back to back seasons with a made cut in the same event and venue (since I doubt any other venues where I made the cut last season will show up later on) and I think I'm making it count. Round one went -7 for a good showing, strong start at -5 through first nine. Sadly slowed down with tempo not working as well as I hoped and caught a bogey with a three putt, but I take that! Round 2 was riding the par train mostly. First 5 with a par, hole out eagle on 6, three putt bogey on 8. Let's not mention the fact that the second putt was a 4 footer... did I mention that? Well fu- I have a weird habit of picking up similar putts and noticing them, I had back to back holes where my second putt was a nasty 4 foot side slope putt to an uphill. Weird how that happens. Learned from the first one. 13th hole with a chip in after a ride on the train again, finished with a near eagle but birdie nonetheless on 18. That round was no joke, I'm cool with surviving with that score. -10 should see the cut. Not necessarily the best I've ever done but this is real nice and fine after barely missing out last week. I finished strong on the weekend that wasn't. Love that course and all the courses in that region really. Those conditions were fabulous, really enjoyed it.
