Week 18 brings the Elite Tour to Summerland Valley Club by grovey31, a course inspired by the Valley Club of Montecito. Grovey is a past design contest champion and he has not slowed down in making great golf courses. I said this in his course thread and will repeat it here, Grovey courses are like a warm bowl of soup on a cold day. Comfy cozy golf that just feels right. Will this one give up more birdies than other weeks? Probably. But even when I've put up relatively difficult courses with intense conditions the cut line doesn't seem to waiver beyond -16 to -20. So, lets have a shootout this week then and enjoy all the long views and interesting holes. Good luck everyone!  Bonus pic this week because I loved the routing so much.  |

I am sitting in unfamiliar territory this week, so far at least, being tied for the lead after round 1. I shot 59 in the second to sit -26 at halfway; while I might drop from the lead at least I'm safely making the cut. Nice to put together two decent rounds in a row, hopefully I can put another two together and stay around the top.
I rather enjoyed the course, only had a couple of minor issues when 2 or 3 putts didn't break as much as the beads suggested they should, but otherwise it played well 👍

58 third round, -39 after 3. I'll play the final round tomorrow some time I think, too tired to go two in a row after playing some real golf today. That round was exactly 30 shots more than this virtual one 😂

Hello.
I had a horrible outing in my second week here. Managed to land consistently on the worst possible spot on the green and therefore made no putts. Demo marks here I come (already).

Could only manage 64 in the final round to finish at -46. Too many approaches leaving difficult putts this round. Still, not totally disappointed with things, it's been a good week overall.

First time in awhile that I’ve felt competent in a TGC Tours event. Finished -47 and hopefully a top 20
