Castlehawk Links:
Rocky outcrops, sparse planting & coastal inlets give way to this traditional Scottish Highland themed 18 hole golf course dominated by the stunning backdrop of the 12th century Castlehawk ruins. No light rough cut & elevation changes are the tracks main defense whilst (with the exception of a couple) the large greens offer plenty of room for bounce & rollout so key to scoring well especially if the winds are medium or higher in strength!!! The default settings for Castlehawk Links are:
Theme: Highlands. Atmospheric Conditions: Spring, mid morning, light cloud. Holes: 18. Approximate Length: 7,385 yards. Par: 72 (x4 par 3, x10 par 4, x4 par 5). Fairways: Firm @ 1.0 Greens: Firm @ 0.85 Greens speed: Fast @ 8.0 (173 feet putt rating). Tees – Blue: 7,384 yards. ….... Green: 7,142 yards. …....... Red: 6,904 yards. Crowds on course: Clubhouse stand & small greenside clusters. Selected Pics:
Hole 2, 567 yard, par 5 approach... Hole 4, 418 yard, (optional short) par 4... Hole 9, 579 yard, par 5 tee shot... Hole 12, 164 yard, par 3 tee shot... Hole 14, 272 yard. short par 4 tee shot... Hole 17, 499 yard, par 4 green back to fairway... Hole 18, 581 yard, par 5 tee shot... Castlehawk Links clubhouse & facilities... I made a short showcase video..... enjoy & feel free to let me know what you think.

Hi SAM, I'm new to this community and so I'm just getting into the swing of things so to speak. Played Castlehawk Links today and really enjoyed my round. I checked you out on TGC Tours and saw that you are a designer with a large amount of work. I've just published my first course a couple weeks ago and have had some great feedback from the community. I thought your course was great. I'm not a good player so it was a bit of a challenge for my skill level but I thought it was fair and visually stunning. I'm very much into the environment side of designing, and I thought your environment was striking. I will give the other tee positions a play as well as time allows. I'd also like to take a look at some of your other courses going forward. If you have some favorites that you'd like to recommend let me know. Castlehawk Links is a very good effort. Well done! Grey

Hey Simon, What a fantastic course, way to go! Really enjoyed my round even though I didn't play well. The environment was pleasing and the playability was fair and challenging. I'm a SAM fan so I thought that "Castlehawk Links was excellent. Good Job. Chefjim
