Hey guys, really excited to share my second completed course with you all, Cross Lake Towne Club, designed on Xbox set in a Boreal theme.
Description -
"Set in the rolling hills outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Cross Lake Towne Club offers lush grass, elevation change, and a variety of hole layouts. Deriving its name from the central lake with three tributaries, water comes into play on more than half the holes, four of which circle Cross Lake itself.
The front nine offers a glimpse of the lake off the first hole, then meanders its way towards the neighborhood with the associated social club and tennis facility. The back nine starts with three holes playing right at and over Cross Lake, before sending you up the hills and back down to the clubhouse for a dramatic finish. The finishing stretch will lead to some fireworks with two par 5's and a short par 3 in the last four holes."
The course has three tees ranging from 6700 to 7350. I have the greens speed set at 175 - it'll play at 187, but I wish you luck. I tried to make each pin set create an even challenge with a good mix of front/back, helping/hurting slopes into them, etc... I find pins 1 and 3 are generally the easiest, and 2 and 4 play a little tougher. I wasn't sure what look I was going for initially planting wise, but settled in on an ANGC/East Lake style with pinestraw and bright bunkers set against deep green grasses and pines.
Had a ton of fun creating this course and I think it's a huge improvement from my first course I completed back in October. Spent a lot of time watching Ben and Wayne's streams to help understand the thought process behind how holes make sense instead of creating challenges for the sake of it. Subtle things like bunkers and green slopes moving with the land were far more in mind here than attempt #1. (PS WhatAboutAmeobi would love a play through/feedback if you have time!)
Thanks to everyone for in advance for playing, more than encourage feedback since I'm still pretty brand new to the game and designer. And good luck to all my fellow rookies!

Hole 1 fairway
Looking back on Hole 4 approach
Par 3 9th heading to clubhouse (don't forget your transfusion at the turn!!)
Signature 11th hole over Cross Lake
Hole 14 going uphill
Par 5 15h
Par 5 17th
Overhead view (as much as Xbox allows)
