Week 17 - Cactus Classic @ Farington Moss

Welcome to week 17 as we head back to the links with Farington Moss, a recently released Dream Team course by scottish67 who sported "Ryland Heath" on Plat last season.

The course itself isnt particularly hard this week but is quite elevated up on a plateau allowing for some intense winds and the firm conditions you'd expect from a links course. If you can conquer the winds, I expect the course to be quite scoreable. Enjoy!

-25 at the cut after a -16 Rd1. Rd2 conditions were a fair bit testier with pins and winds.
Finished with 2 x -11's and a -47 total. A bit tentative on putts/chips thanks to some precarious pins so missed a few opportunities.
Nice to be semi-competitive again in the top flight.....PC clubhouse lead at this very early stage.

I seem to have made my way back up here after the last 6 months or so on Elite. Played fairly well which means up here that is a sweat to make the cut.   -22 after two rounds.

Played okay but putter let me down again: -19 and missed cut but probably just enough again to not score that elusive fifth red thingy.

After missing the cut (again) by a shot last week I managed this week to bring my worst, at times, to the course. The highlight was probably not changing the default 3 wood to driver on the driveable par 3 on the front 9 in rd 1 and ended up making par. I had some dreadful luck with some great looking shots taking dreadful bounces and rolling off greens into heavy rough and three lip outs which hurt. My biggest problem is an inability to swing straight with the controller anymore. I don't know if it's the controller, me or some divine force that ensures my putting is a lottery on Platinum each week. Hoping to avoid a red mark..
