In 1937, A French archeologist named Pierre St. Pierre was scouting a dig site in Egypt just outside of Giza. One night while taking a break at a local watering hole he met a man called Jobi. Jobi was a local merchant who sold artifacts that he claimed were from the Great Pyramids and that these artifacts held special powers for those that held them. Jobi was clearly a nut, but for some reason Pierre St. Pierre grew more and more interested as Jobi’s stories of these artifacts and the Great Pyramids went on. Pierre St. Pierre asked Jobi what the greatest treasure he had found was. Jobi answered that he had once found a map inside the largest of pyramids and that this map depicted the locations of at least a dozen more pyramids located in various deserts around the world. He went on to say based on the map, it seemed the greatest of these Pyramids were located in the Nevada Desert and that there was a total of four Pyramids all appearing to be dedicated to RA, the God of the Sun. Needless to say, Pierre St. Pierre’s interest had peaked, and he offered an undisclosed amount of money to Jobi for the map. Jobi Accepted his offer.
As soon as Pierre St. Pierre got his hands on the map, he knew he had something special and authentic. He said goodbye to Jobi and immediately chartered a ship for the United States.
Upon arrival to the US, Pierre St. Pierre contacted an old friend of his, a soldier he met during the first World War Captain James “Dawson” Vanderbeek. Yep, his nickname was Dawson. True story. Anyway, Dawson and Pierre St. Pierre met up so they could discuss what Pierre St. Pierre had purchased back in Giza as he knew that Dawson had access to resources that could get him to the Nevada Desert. He told Dawson the story of Jobi and showed him the map and the Four Pyramids of RA. Dawson told Pierre St. Pierre that he would help him locate the Pyramids for a small fee. Pierre St. Pierre agreed, and they started making their plans. Little did Pierre St. Pierre know, Dawson was working for the American government, and had contacted the embassy as soon as they separated. He told them of the map and their plans. After several weeks of searching the vast desert floor, Pierre. St. Pierre and James “Dawson” Vanderbeek came upon a large mountain. At the base of this mountain, on all four corners, were what seemed to be four very large Pyramids. The Pyramids were withered and mostly covered with dirt and sand by now. The two men climbed the mountain looking for any entrances, but the wind and sand had buried them deep, too deep to excavate themselves. Just as they were giving up, a cavalcade of military forces showed up on scene. Dawson had betrayed Pierre St. Pierre and the government was there to take over the search. They allowed Pierre St. Pierre to stay and consult, but clearly, he was no longer in charge of what was soon dubbed Operation God RA.
After some time, with large excavating tools, an entrance to one of the Pyramids finally showed itself. Once they had an entrance the work was going to begin, but the military did not want their new Pyramids to be discovered. Worried that planes might spot them from overhead, they decided to cover the mountain with a golf course to hide what they were doing below. They would use this course as an employee golf course for the next two decades while they searched for artifacts and treasures. Eventually after they cleaned out the four Pyramids, they abandoned the project. They decided to make the golf course public and so in 1962 they sold half of it to the nearest city and had them take over maintaining it. It’s now a championship course boasting over 7600 yards of scenic golf.
Pierre St. Pierre was eventually credited with discovering the four Pyramids although he never received any money or treasure from his efforts. He passed in 1975 and was buried In a special cemetery for people with two first names. James “Dawson” Vanderbeek went on to live next to a creek. That’s all he did the rest of his life, live next to a creek. It was his creek. Jobi ended up selling most of the artifacts he plundered from the Great Pyramids to Somali Pirates, but then they just killed him and took the money back right away.
The End.
Fun side note. At about 40% completed somehow my course got corrupted and I could no longer use the save features on PS5. I was lucky in that I could still save it by publishing and reediting. because of this, I have around 40 published versions of this course under a beat name. FML. so if you want to play all the different versions so see its progress....nope! I hope soon we can delete the courses we dont want so my published course list isn't such a GD mess. Started this one in October so its definitely the longest i have taken to publish a course so I hope my hard work has paid off and you all enjoy it.
