This is a fictional course. Skellig Ring is an extension of the famous Ring of Kerry in southwestern Ireland, which offers some of the most scenic views in County Kerry, Ireland. There are a number of top golf courses located in this area including Waterville. My design uses the Highlands theme and situates the course next to the ocean.
I designed this course last week for TGC 2019 and decided to import it into PGA 2K21 today. Before doing that, I read the instructions set forth here for submitting courses and moved a few pins around that were slightly too close to the edges of some greens. This is my first effort with the TGC 2019/PGA 2K21 design program, but I have designed a dozen or so courses using other design programs. I prefer natural looking courses and I don't move a lot of cyber dirt around. I work with the land plot that the design program presents and try to make the hole fit the landscape, rather than vice versa. As a result, there is a lot of natural slope on this course. I had to tone down the greens a bit, but you will find some slope there as well. However, the pins are located in areas on the greens where you should get a reasonable putt provided you stop the ball in those areas. Some of the greens are large. Accuracy and distance control are required to stop the ball in the correct areas. Some investigation of the greens and planning is recommended because landing the ball in certain places will place you closer to the hole than others; so familiarizing yourself with the contours of the greens is recommended.
The course has 5 sets of tees. I recommend that you play the back tees (Black). I also find that playing with some wind and firm conditions will bring out the personality of this course.
I have provided a link to some screenshots below. This is a link to Google Photos, and I don't know how this will work. I don't have any experience with imbedded images from image hosting websites. I generally just attach an image, but that option is apparently not available.
In any event, I hope you will give Skellig Ring Ocean Course a play, and I hope you enjoy it.
