Walking da Coque into the catalogue and the New Year as a proud member of the Red Team in the latest installment of Dream Team. Let's hear some initial impressions! "A routing so pure you needed two island tee boxes" - jwtexan "I'm out! I'm not doing it!" - bspetty "This ain't it, Ryno" - jchantres "How many beers did you consume making your course?" - mattyfromcanada "This is it! This is the ONE!" - anonymous "Wow that clubhouse @!$#s"- anonymous "Best retaining walls in the game" - anonymous Whatever the verdict, you cannot deny, the Coque has people talking and walking! So get on out there and enjoy a round today!

I like it! I'm pretty sure you were a bit rushed for time but you did a good job here. I really liked the variety of shots I had to play around here. Great course name too, certainly a contest highlight haha
TLDR: it doesn't suck

At least those two island tee boxes look really good though!

Nice course with an Arizona feel to it. The plot looks does look like a shell i.imgur.com/yH1VfrL.jpg and a very modern minimalist clubhouse i.imgur.com/ELk5Ddj.jpgGot out on the range before my round i.imgur.com/H5Tbnzj.jpgThen went and had a putt to get the eye in i.imgur.com/sNsvFqk.jpg. Man that putting green has some slopes! The course has some good elevation and side slopes. I like the use of the double retaining walls with the angled bridge object. The drivable 8th was a cool hole and the island 14th with the working tunnel i.imgur.com/GkdSaKZ.jpg through from the 13th green. I thought the blind 15th i.imgur.com/kj18qA1.jpg was a little too much elevation. I would have liked it to built up to the top of the hill at the driving distance. Loved the second shot though as a good risk/reward.

FInally got a chance to giev this a play this morning. All joking aside the Coque has some real fun and creative ideas. I always appriciate you ability to come up with quirky holes that can seem out there from the tee but when you play them really play well.

This was the perfect example of me judging a book by it's cover... or in this case the photos above... which I don't think do this course justice. I'm sorry but I wasn't expecting the high standards you set with the likes of Ballentaint, Dead Hand Pines, Marram Anchor and Nontempo. Well I was wrong! It was a fabulously unique environment and I'm wondering where did you draw your inspiration? Good luck in the contest! P.S. 1. Could the image above be your course logo, and 2. I'm thinking if you ever designed a second 18 you could name it Running Rooster!
