Dear TST enthusiasts, Founded in 1883, Hayling Golf Club is one of the premier links courses on the south coast of England. Before heading back to North-America for the next few months, that's where we'll play this week's Christmas Shootout. So basically, my Christmas present to you is proper links golf, 4 different tees, sunny weather, and a bit of wind (okay a lot in the final round, but that's my Christmas present to me... ). MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Good luck and have fun, Frans

Finished off as it was a fun experience. Just -11 for the week. It's the taking part that counts. Right? Played pretty well 4th round even though I was pretty much speed golfing and but for a horror hole would have carded a decent (for me) score. I drained a snaky 25 foot putt though. Was like winning the lottery!! LOL Thanks to all the Admin for giving us duffers a go. And especially to Frans fransslabak for making me want to come back every week, despite me being crap at TST, with his course choices and set up. Merry Christmas!

My Winters Fairytail started off so tranquil and serene just like a picture postcard of a blissful winters morn, with a guiding beacon of light in the grey sky, shining a ray of light down to a 4inch hole where a flag gently flutters in the cold breeze, that was until the Grinch appeared and ruined it all. Rds 1-3 as described, Rd4 ruined by that awful Grinch, Even Scrooge himself was in disbelief at his atrocious actions Rd1:-9 Pars, 8 Birds, 1 Eagle, Bogey Free = 61 (-10) Rd2:-8 Pars, 7 Birds, 3 Eagles, Bogey Free = 58 (-13) Rd3:-9 Pars, 7 Birds, 2 Eagles, Bogey Free = 60 (-11) Rd4:-12 Pars, 5 Birds, 1 Bogey = 67 (-4) Event:-38 Pars, 27 Birds, 6 Eagles, 1 Bogey = 246 (-38) 1 Bogey throughout, came in Rd4 unfortunately, but over the past 2 weeks i played 136H's Bogey free, and with that i am absolutely chuffed. Good Luck All, Play Well And finally Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you all and your families, have a safe and enjoyable time

-51 for me this week. Had a strange experience of absolutely stinking up the place in platinum (MINUS SEVEN at the cut lol) and then having ridiculously good tempo here immediately afterwards, even missed four or five stupid putts with that total.
Loved the course again. Really gettable first two rounds then the wind and firmness made those greens very tricky last two.
Have a great Christmas everyone. Nice chatting this year and thanks for taking the time to set everything up each week Frans and everyone involved. Play well!

Lamed out in the last round with a -8 after 3 great rounds......-51. Putts all of a sudden stopped dropping and sort of just lost the mojo. Won't bother the lead pack but sitting atop the PC leaderboard at the moment. Cheers

Don't want to call the start of this week for me a Christmas miracle or anything like that, but... what else can I call it?
Off to a blinder start, shot 62 for a 9 under first round. 8 under through first 9, tempo was damn near perfectly good. Like, 105% perfect off a drive on hole 3, sticking it to 20 yards away kind of good. Once I realized that I was keeping PC leader kind of pace (not even kidding, had I kept it up I might have led through 1!), I got jittery and nervous and didn't amount to much afterwards. For what I usually do however, I'll take that!
Round 2 though? I think the stars were aligned on my side, evidenced by a fact that I somehow turned a guaranteed OB drive on 13th into a birdie, thanks to a wooden post smacking the ball back towards the green and staying in play! They say it's better to be lucky than good, so... yeah, taking that! Shot a woeful 5/14 FIR, yet... scored -12. For a 59 on the card. Yes, that's a number starting with a 5. First time I'm putting a number like that on the board in TST. Feels super nice!
-21 through 2, I sure hope I don't have to worry about making a cut for once this week or otherwise it really is getting insanely cut throat around here!
Cheers, good luck!

14 under and still can’t make a cut, for the love God guys back off a bit lol. Maybe the pro players should be required to use their hdcps. It appears the switch to pro has increased participation and there are a lot of of pro tier players to boot. Even with the cut line moving to 80, there isn't a lot of room at the bottom of the totem pole for us mere mortals in CC. That being said, it looks like 9 CC players managed to make the cut this week, including 1 from CC-D and CC-F respectively; a couple more missed by 1 stroke. So it is possible.

The Grinch wanted me to fail on the weekend, I didn't let him get to me. -11, -8 weekend that could have been tons better if my luck with inches went a little smoother! Especially fine with the last round score, seeing us CC folk don't ever get to try out very high winds unless we go out of our way to search for that! This week a solid -40, waaaaaaay up on last year's excursion in this same event. For the record, last year I scored +54 in this same event. I was way different and lacking experience then, and there was also a different landscape of the game then, but just a casual 94 stroke swing in a year! Should be up for a very good finishing place this week, might be overachieving a little and very happy with this since my CC finished at only -39! How does that work? In the spirit of Christmas, here's a medley to sign me off for the holidays: Last Tuesday I gave it my all But the very next day, the cut flew away This week to save me from tears I finally did something special On the four rounds of Christmas Shootout My True Sim gave to me Four good rounds Three flying eagles Just two bogeys And a plenty of good times for me Merry Christmas, happy holidays to all. Stay safe out there, and enjoy this time of year as much as you possibly can. Cheers!

61, 60, 60, 60. Pretty consistent at least and probably one of my highest finishes on TST. Only two eagles over 4 rounds though. To get higher gotta pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers.
Merry Christmas to all the TST players out there, have a good one.
