Dear TST enthusiasts, This week's QCD Shootout is played at Kingsway Country Club (L) - located in Lake Suzy, FL.. It all starts out with a lovely first day but then a weather front with wind and rain passes, turning day 2 and 3 into a different challenge than you've faced the last few weeks. For those who lose a few shots during those rounds, day four presents the perfect opportunity to get back into it with glorious sunshine, a gentle breeze and shorter tees. Best of luck and have fun, Frans PS May I remind you all that if you make the cut, you are expected to finish rounds 3 and 4 as well; not doing so not only results in a ban for the next week but is also unfair to those who missed the cut and would have loved to have the chance to play four rounds. PS2 Maybe this period leading up to Christmas is the perfect time to donate to TGCTOURS and ensure it will be here for your future TST cravings... see www.tgctours.com/Player/Donations

TST Rounds 1 & 2 (or alternatively Final score!)
Another really fun course (imo). I'm always disappointed when my rounds are over for the week (because this ain't making no cut!) as it's the most enjoyable couple of rounds each week for me on TGCT. Perhaps it's because of where my skill level sits that this provides me with a good but most importantly enjoyable challenge. Round 1 was a bit of a what might have been as putt after putt slipped agonisingly a couple of inches either side of the cup. Round 2 was better, probably as good as I can play, but was spoiled by one quick change behind the bushes into my speedo's to rescue my pixel golf ball after a very slow on the last par 5 went water bound. I never, never hit a very slow normally so why then? Conspiracy theorists will understand MY view of it!! Salvaged a par but it should have been an easy birdie. Already checking next week's schedule... Round 1 -2 Round 2 -5

I'm glad I took a practice round for this one there are a couple of spots where you could find water without a little bit of care. Since the change to pro I've been aiming for a -20 number at the cut so very happy to hit that number, hopefully have me around the top 30 or so for the weekend.
As the OP says the 2nd round is certainly tougher and it took me to the back nine to start scoring well. Managed to drain a couple of putts over 20 feet and I'd say there is no greater feeling in this game than draining a lengthy putt in TST. Good luck all.

I don't think he's on the forum but shout-out to Rastaman for winning on Xbox by ten shots last week. Incredible golf!
This week I went -51 (12,11,12,16) which I am obviously delighted with. Stupid bogey on 17 in round 4 and a missed 5 foot eagle putt might cost me some FedEx points but I had a couple of holeout eagles through the week as well so I can't bemoan my luck too much as much as I want to! Really liked how the conditions changed the course over the four rounds - those middle rounds felt like the best of the four with quite a few medium length putts dropping - and even on the shorter tees in round 4 the par 5's had enough about them to make you think about your strategy off the tee (and water on the approaches). Another great week to play on TST and another great leaderboard early days on Xbox with a lot of players again.
P.S. I'm 99% about True Sim in these games but I got promoted to Platinum this week for a three-week vacation before my inevitable demotion so I'm pretty happy all-round with my virtual golf right now!
Play well folks!

-16 at the 36 hole mark for the 2nd straight week. Will -16 be on the cut line wrong side again? Place yer bets!
Onward.

I reached -37. If the cut is around -16, then my -17 at the half way point will leave me in precarious position. Like last week, my final round score was my best round of the week with a -12.

Does anyone have other ideas for tournament results to post in each week's thread along with those I currently include? I already copy/paste the round scores and totals for all players into the WGR/FedExCup spreadsheet and then I use boilerplate equations, a couple of sorts, and conditional formatting to have it highlight the items I post so I can just add more functionality to that if needed. I plan to keep it positive so no roasting (e.g., worst round, weekend choker, etc...) although that would be fun.
Here's what I currently post each week.
Top 3, top three players and ties Low Round, player(s) who had the lowest single round score for the week Most Consistent, player(s) whose scores from all four rounds was the closest Weekend Mover, player(s) who moved up the most in the tournament from the cut to final

I do agree in the "fun" in misery, might be the only way I make one of your reports, like who snatches defeat from the jaws of victory (great round 1, clunker round 2 to miss cut) or the Get Smart (missed cut by THAT much--must be old enough to get the reference). I do appreciate your content, enjoy the added value to the tour.

If it involves anything beyond sorting a column though I wouldn't hassle yourself. I like reading the current one's every week it adds a little extra like Art says. Cheers!

Not the best showing I've ever had this week. Too bad, this week is my 1 year anniversary week since I joined on week 11 of last season and would have loved to make the cut for it, but it is what it is. -5, -4 for a -9 that is good enough for the cut as I type, but certainly won't last. Couple of off tempo shots (including a seemingly random very slow finding water, could have gotten a bit too lazy swinging?), too many slightly missed putts, couple boneheaded user faults not balanced back well enough with good choices. Little things separating me from good and bad this week and forcing me to settle for "meh". Considering where my game was at a couple weeks ago, I'll happily take that. I feel like last week was way more my type of course and now we're back to something where I struggle a bit more, so it's okay! Could have also been the hangover from celebrating my best ever finish from last week, I don't know. And last week in general, I killed it all over the place. Hopefully that didn't take all of my mojo for a few weeks! Off to the clubhouse to pack up for next week, and having a couple for my 1 year anniversary of TST. I'll stick the tab to the winner this week, the top guys make too much on the tour anyway so they can do the rest of us a solid every once in a while. Cheers and good luck!
