Probably my biggest challenge I have since, losing the swing meter is my distance control, especially on pitch shots around 40 yards or so. I've thought about just moving my aiming marker way further up so that my controller "buzzes" faster in my hand.
I'm also need of advice when in between clubs, in real life, I always go with the shorter club because I'd rather be short than long in most cases, but in video game mode making pars is almost like making bogeys so I was wondering the strategies for that as well.
If there is a previous thread to this let me know.
Thanks guys, I play on an XBOX one

I try to avoid partial shots and adjust distance using shot shaping instead (more loft, spin etc) - that's not easy with longer clubs though, so I often use fade/draw to reduce the distance. If I absolutely must make a partial shot I aim the marker where I want the ball to land and then do practice swings until the shot feedback is white (not grey or red) consistently. I ignore the controller vibration as it's always too late to react.

Those pitch shots are funny. I'm ok with partial ones when it's like 20-25 yards or so, or if it's say 90% of the full distance of the club, but those ones in between around 40-50 I always leave either way short or too long.
I've essentially given up on them now and use flops or splashes instead for those distances.
It's annoying because I'm actually better with distance control in real life. I'll use a gap wedge anywhere from 100 metres (full swing) to around the green depending on the shot I want. I don't often have the trouble with distance control that I have on this game.

I understand taking the swing meter off because it better represents the "feel" of playing golf over looking at a white line at the bottom of the screen and flicking forward, but there needs to be a "heavier" feel on wedges because the sensitivity of your shot is a big difference between birdie and bogey. I think I will start using the flop shot more often, my two rounds were great this week so I think I will just use my last two rounds to practice. Thanks for the advice everyone

The flops are easier to hit properly on pro difficulty as well. On master it was pretty difficult to get a perfect with them.
The other thing I do with them is increase the spin fully most times, otherwise they roll out too far. Just depends on the distance.
