First, the important dates:
Registration period: Dec. 1-18, 2021 (look for a separate sign-up thread)
Once the contest field is officially finalized, designers may begin working on their entries (likely on or around Dec. 19).
Deadline/publish window: March 1-31, 2022
This event is a limited-field (32 entrants) invitational, with designers earning spots in that field via criteria listed below. If you are not exempt from one of the categories below, you can still register, since at-large entrants are accepted should fewer than 32 of the exempt designers register for the contest. Moreover, there are more than 32 designers within the exemption categories listed below, so if you are listed among the exemption categories below, that does not necessarily guarantee entry to the contest (see below for field selection protocol).
EXEMPTION CATEGORIES.
I. Past champions of official TGCTours design contests (World Cup, Major, National Treasure, CC, Rookie):
b101 , Trayys , mayday_golf83 , grovey31 , mattyfromcanada , csugolfer60 , TannerBronson , jwtexan , staypuft39 , scottish67 , ryanmcconnell
II. Quarterfinalists from the last three World Cups of Design not otherwise exempt:

III. Top ten finishers from the most recent National Treasure and CC Design Contests not otherwise exempt:

IV. Top three finishers from the most recent Rookie Design Contest not otherwise exempt:
Leecey
V. Participants in the last two Dream Team competitions not otherwise exempt (note: those relying on participation in this year's competition for exempt status must finish their Dream Team course to remain exempt)
SkinniePost , jivesinator , whodatmatt34 , mctrees02 , @babybull , agrainger12 , Sleepypanda7 , ChrizZcE , @spartan4knight , gcsinsane , Australian , sebk , shotstone , freternick , aeastwood54 , patlouvar , richnufc99 , bennyk315 , TeeeJ9798 , pablo , jcollick , Crazycanuck1985 , joegolferg , rod81simo , lessthanbread , ErixonStone , golfwolfuk , CiB0RG , Kermit_418 , Oscar C
FIELD SELECTION:
Designers will be taken from the above categories (with those in Category I having highest priority, and so on). Within each category, designers are prioritized according to the following tie-breaking criteria (applied in order until the tie is broken):
a. Highest career finish in an official TGC Tours design contest
b. Number of different courses used on Tour
c. Number of Approved Courses in the TGC Tours database
AT-LARGE ENTRIES:
If you aren't listed among the exempt designers above, you are still welcome to register. If fewer than 32 designers from the above exempt categories sign up, at-large sign ups will be accepted, with the above tie-breaking criteria applied to determine priority. Additionally, four alternates will be selected.
THE FORMAT.
Group Stage: The 32 entrants will be drawn into eight groups. Entrants will be sorted into pools (A, B, and C; determined at the discretion of the contest organizer) and each group will contain one designer from A, two from B, and one from C. The four courses within each group will be ranked by a panel of judges, with the top two courses in each group advancing to the knockout stage (note that there will be no “wild card” slots for advancing out of group stage, unlike last year).
Knockout Stage: Courses advancing to the knockout stage will compete head to head, March Madness style until a winner is determined.
