Kinda why I mentioned two separate tours. X box players can pick the TST pro tour to compete. Half way leaderboards of 36 under just doesn't feel sim at all. I am sure there are a lot of TST veterans that miss master difficulty as much as those who prefer pro difficulty. HB have totally improved the near tempo miss punishment but have unfortunately made splash an arcade shot again. Master is easier now and so is Pro also. Anyway just a suggestion from an ex admin. But that's also my point that you're basically saying in that scenario there's one tour on which only dualshock users can compete and another for non-dualshock users. Don't get me wrong I may be totally out of sync with the aim of the tours but it seems to be me that's a bit contrary to the aim of cross-platform boards. Just in my opinion at least the current system is much preferable to that (of course some, most, or all might disagree lol) or even the two tier same difficulty bracket system Ben mentioned. Also - and again I might be mistaken - but I don't think the leading scores have been drastically lower or have they? More a case that they're more bunched up throughout the field that pushes the cut line lower. And again the two tier system would be good here for people who want more of a chance to make the cut if they are filtered into the secondary tier. Like I say my worry would be were we ever to go split difficulty tiers that you're basically resigning really good non-dualshock users to a lesser division not based only on skillgap* but also on hardware. Just speaking from the Xbox side I know if I have a mega week I can compete right now (last week i really did have the chance to challenge), I reckon Dansamps even moreso than me and HorusPhoenix certainly as well if he goes low. But bring back master and we'll be back feeding on scraps largely due to controller limitations. Fwiw I always agree with everything you say and were I playing on a different system we'd be bang in line with each other and what we want from the game / tours. Maybe the only difference is I don't think this is a sim - although your USE society is certainly by far the closest to sim-like play - more just a case of shorthand for playing without grids and scout. I mean even on master last season winning scores were routinely in the -40's so I don't see the five or ten shots increase being that huge a problem personally. I just always kind of feel the need to give my perspective as an Xbox player even if I'm a bit of a pain in the process haha One thing's for sure and that's that it's great to see far more of a buzz around TST to the point we can even have these conversations about the possibility of expanding in the future. That can only be a good thing. *And of course I don't mean ONLY hardware differences. Those players are better than the vast majority of us even if we were on the exact same system. But it has been nice lately to at least feel like we have something resembling remotely similar shot outcomes to dualshock users even if it's not entirely a perfect solution. You are 100% correct Craig that Pro is more Xbox and Xbox controller friendly, I have totally given up on my series X controller because tempo at times feels random with it which I never have with a dualshock controller. I use my Series X controller for every other game but on this game controller responsiveness is crucial. But my point is that 50 % of this tour voted for Master difficulty, not just top PS4 players like booze2407 but I am sure less skilled players also and that was when HB's tempo distance penalties were extreme, more a nerf than a realistic fix. But the long game has been vastly improved and Master is an enjoyable experience even for average players. TST has been going for a few years now and RGT a few years before that . It is part of TGCTours but most importantly has nothing to do with the other tours, it is it's own separate entity. Should it just be a one size fits all when the option to have an extra difficulty can expand it and achieve more interest. Like you said you prefer Master also Regarding scores, the top score maybe only 10 to 15 lower but then again other scores way more. Maybe I am wrong most of the tour likes hitting 30 under without playing well and maybe you're right most don't see it as a sim tour. I don't think Matt even plays TST anymore, but at one time the most important thing about TST was a sim experience. Just my thoughts.

That's all totally fair and I don't disagree at all with anything. I think it comes down to whether the priority is (or will be) cross-platform balance or a sim-experience, or if the twin divisions can cater for both. And as you say whether the TST objectives come apart from those on the tours with grids i.e. can those cater for cross-platform and TST aim to be more niche. And if so, you're probably right that - interest dependent - a masters division would probably make sense. Btw I'm very aware I'm always replying to you to disagree about something or other and I really hope it doesn't come across as me always having something to say when you comment! It's just we like very similar modes and have very minor disagreements that are interesting to chat about. I hope that's clear, and sorry for clogging up the thread folks!

I started to dream of a win after the insane round 3 I had, but the putter went a bit missing in the back half of the front 9. Great tournament for me though. I'm starting to really improve on my putting. Still too many medium putts missed (think I was 80% this week) but it's drastically improved from the first few weeks.
Happy to be consistent in here and in Plat.
