Dear TST enthusiasts,
Week 7 takes us to Golf Club of Houston for the Houston Championship. The course is a nice open course but It promises to be a bit of a windy weekend in Texas…
Best of luck and have fun, Frans

Best TST Round to date so far. Kicking it off with a -8 in Round 1 including a splash in eagle on the 15th and a clean card. Very pleased with this. Going to try a new tack and just play 1 round a day in each tournament I'm in, one to miss the worst of the Sunday tempo tantrums and two to stop overplaying which I'm often guilty of and my scores suffer. Onward as the great philosopher says.

Onward as the great philosopher says. Right on your tail Ben! -7 opening round. Wrapped with this start. Also my best round to date. Something about Houston which had me really concentrating hard esp. off the tee. Some interesting angles from tee to fairway and mostly I judged them well. Started a little apprehensively but warmed well as the round progressed and my approaches on the back 9 were the reason I came home in -5. Looking forward to round 2 and hopefully my first cut. Crossing the fingers! Cheers

-7 first round for me and a headache - have an eye problem and it’s making it harder and harder to see what’s happening on screen
Hoping in a few days it’ll be better.

Sorry to hear that Frans. Hopefully it calms down soon.
Played my first two rounds this afternoon. -7 in round one with some struggles on the greens and a really solid -13 second round to leave me happy at -20 halfway through. Lovely course with some pretty tricky big breaks around the cups. Have to be pretty careful even over those five footers.
Back to Forza until Thursday then try to get over the line with back to back -40's. Good luck this week everyone.

I played the par 5s like a numpty. Had 4 water balls during the tourney and 3 putted 3x and I managed to get to -32.

Well... backed up my opening round -7 with a -6. -13 at the halfway mark and hoping I'll be around the mark to make the cut this week. Crossing fingers and toes! The steady improvement continues and I agree with SkyBlueBen that the flag tilt putting aid really helps with the break around the hole. This combined with the more immediate break closer to the ball and its a little like reading a break in real life. Cheers

Finished at -29, was coasting along fine until R4 when I made two double bogies in a row pretty early on. Hadn't made a bird yet either so that kinda set me way back. Managed to finish out -7 to shoot -3 in round 4 though, lol. Just made it impossible to compete. Gotta be more careful

At The CutI'm really loving this course, really seems to suit me, and just missed out on a double digit round by missing a makeable putt on the 18th. Those who took their time to help out on the mysteries of no grid putting I am forever grateful to. That coupled with learning to play a little slower and more conservatively has seen a great improvement. Hopeful of making the cut for the second week in a row.

Working hard to make the cut in TST is so more much more immersive than shooting -11 in the opening round of CC-C. Nice work Ben!

I appreciate the drop down to pro level wasn't to everyone's taste but it's enabled people like myself to get a lot of enjoyment out of this division. Really love fighting to try to make the cut.

5 under to start and could have been a lot better just too many putts lipping out. I feel like there's going to be a lot of low scores this week.

Still blind as a bat 🦇 but had to play my second round today. Tried to hit it close and use some more power on putts and assume no break… worked for 17 holes but not on the 12th… 😂 Triple there and -7 for the round to sit at -14 and cut watching.

Here's hoping I make the cut as the 3rd Round went pretty well also. Had a heap of good fortune. A couple of chip in's, a couple of putts that sort of circled the hole and dropped instead of lipping out. Big thing for me is I've avoided the water now for 54 holes, makes all the difference. That and not 4 putting any more!! -9 for 26 under after 3 and having the time of my life
