All that I will say about Comedian1978 and his entry is that the course did not follow contest rules, but, even if it had, it stood no chance of winning.
From here on out, I will focus on the dozens of honest attempts at building a winning course.

An unappreciated element to all of this is that he'd have had several months to make a new/better course and just sort of chose not to.
