Ah bummer. Well, congrats to everyone who made it to the next round! I wish everyone the best luck and look forward to maybe being able to compete in a contest again. Thought for sure yours was making it through! Keep that head up, your course was great and I hope you know that! Played wonderfully

But thanks for the kind words!

Congrats to the top 20! Interested to see who moves on to the final round. This was my first kick at a competition, and I'm a bit nonplussed at the moment, which I suppose is natural after dumping so much into this... thought for sure I had something here. Ah well, not sure I'll compete again, but had a good time with the process on this one. Cheers.

Honestly I thought your course was by far the most fun to play. Had a blast running through it with my friend.

First, congratulations to all 43 designers who submitted entries! This was a loaded field and with only 20 spots from 43 entries there were going to be really good courses not moving on. That said, I enjoyed playing every entry and there wasn't a bad one in the lot.
Second, for those just getting started or if this was one of your first contest then don't be discouraged. Keep working your craft and designing courses that you enjoy.
Third, congratulations to the Top 20 who are moving on. It will be a dog fight now to move forward, so celebrate your first round success!
In the end, the community wins in any contest, but it especially wins when every designer, and perhaps even more so for rookie designers, are encouraged in their efforts. To that end, consider going back to all the entries that you haven't played and play them. Then consider going to the designers "Completed Course" thread and giving them honest feedback. I realized myself that I'd played some of the entries, but never took the time to write any feedback in their threads. The only way any community grows is through interactions and feedback and this community is no different. To this end, I'm finishing my playthroughs of the courses I'd missed.
Finally, thank you again to everyone involved in this contest, as the time and efforts you put into it are never paid and the hours spent are immense, but your reward is knowing you're helping to grow the newer designers for the community.
With thanks & respect

Ah well, not sure I'll compete again, but had a good time with the process on this one. Cheers. I am quoting this, but my response applies broadly. Totally natural to feel that way. I said this on stream, but it bears repeating: There were (many) more than 20 courses that are worthy of moving on. In order to give results in a reasonable time frame, breaking up into smaller groups is necessary. Your course was competing against 6 of the other 42 entries. I don't want your takeaway to be that your course isn't good. In this case, 15% of the judging panel judged that your course was not as good as between 10% and 15% of the other entries. I would rather you watch playthroughs and reviews of your course, seek out the feedback and advice, and then publish a banger in the future.

Missed the stream earlier but thank you to ErixonStone for running this contest, its been great to have this for us newer designers to not just learn from the best but also learn from each other as we have a go at creating a contest course - quite often for the first time Also a shout out to ALL of the courses in this contest, I am delighted to have made it through and while 20 go on, overall a huge number of quality courses have been created, all unique in their own different way, and ultimately the amount we have all learnt will be the biggest prize here!

Disappointed to not make the top 20, but had a great time creating my course and playing many of the other entries. Thank you ErixonStone for hosting the contest and good luck to everyone who moved on! I will certainly be following along to see how each one finishes up.

I also wanna say congrats to the 20 moving on......what an imaginative, creative, ingenious and technically well executed group of courses.....I mean seriously...amazing job guys. The same thing can be said for the 23 of us that didn't make it through...that's a pretty impressive looking list of courses also.....and again...great job guys. I played all the contest courses and all I saw was one course after another I wish I could play in real life...so enough said. Thanks again to ErixsonStone for putting this contest together and to the judges for their time, efforts, honest critiques and frank analysis of our work. This was my first TGC contest, hopefully not the last...I knew when I entered I had no shot but did it for the experience and really glad I did. A great learning experience to be a part of.
