-5, -10 for what looks like a very nice -15 at the cut.
Tale of two rounds: round 1 was riddled with tempo being just a tiny bit off too often and the usual putting stuff where I seem to miss good reads by a couple hairs. Not terrible, it happens. Round 2 was way nicer, really sluggish start but turned it around to score a tied career best TST round at 62.
Looks good so far and should be comfortably made cut, however I'm likely to choke it all away at some point. Got admittedly lucky a couple times already through some extra heart palpitations on drives over water. So I'm fully expecting the universe to come balance that out, and put me back down to earth. I'm looking to defy the odds of that happening though.
Cheers and good luck to all.

Here's hoping for that! Usually when I see one of those types of rounds, that's the only one I see for the week. Kind of want to change that, and this week is as good of a chance as any. Thanks man!

Mexico has not been kind!
Rnd 1: a terrible +2 where my tempo was off. Rnd 2: a significantly better round of -6 including an eagle and a great run of birdies after a double on 2 and a bogey on hole 4.
Rnds 1 & 2 contained x2 double bogeys and x4 bogeys on the very gettable par 5s.
Yet again a tourney where I'm left thinking... What could have been?
Writing this as I travel to Houston, Texas for Week 7 of the 21/22 season.
Good luck to those who make the cut and for those who don't good luck next week!
Cheers

Yay!! 6 weeks deep and I’ve made a cut!! Final personal goal for the season achieved already. Now I can stop boring the pants off you all with my “personal goals” and just play like the rest of you 😀

Missed cut 2nd one ever, fully deserved, played like a proper plank, 1st Double Bogry of season to boot after a mahussive brain fart, not once but twice, had a 40ft up2ft putt, moved marker back to look behind hole, didn't reset it TWICE hit putt it went nowhere, eventually figured out why 3 holes later as the light bulb moment happened oh well . Good luck all in your rds 3+4

I played really well for me. Rd 4 was a disaster, I hit 4 balls in the water on a par 5 on the front 9. I ended up with a 10. There were 3 other bogeys and I still had a -1. -30 overall.

-2, -7 weekend for a final total of -24. Disappointment is the current feeling. Round 3 was such a disaster. Started off nice with 3 birdies in the first 4 and maybe with a bit more luck could have made it 4. Then hole 5 happened. Hit red slow, found myself in the middle bunker. Calculated everything so that I could hit it perfect, did the most math I think I've ever done with this game. Guess what I forgot to account for? The fact that my club selection wouldn't clear the big lip, so I smacked right into that and back into that same bunker. Then the tempo died for a bit, hit everything a bit short and slow. Double bogey, I'm a joke. Hit one into the water on the 13th par 5, then found myself in the trees and bushes in the middle of the fairway once you clear that first bit of water. Another double because I suck. 3 putt on the 15th, because again, I suck. Such a good setup round, and I blow it. My putting was actually good though apart from the one three putt, so... there's that? Round 4 was okay, nothing amazing but I think my putting continued to be pretty good, a bit more luck into it and a few inches here and there and could have been in the double digits? Was -4 I think on the front, and the back was sluggish and a tad bit unlucky. Did finish with a birdie though, so small things I guess. EDIT: oh yeah, and more stories of unluckiness now that I remember: twice I thought I hit into the light rough, once very clearly, and the game gave me heavy rough instead. Nice! A strange feeling this week. -24 is not every week for me, yet I feel... nothing? Feel like I should have done better. I think the Caribbean adventure finally took its toll on me and the lucky sun couldn't shine on me forever. However, if I feel disappointment, that must mean that I have expectations on myself. Which is a new one, haven't really been in that kind of position much before. I now know that I could do something great, just need to execute better. Growing pains of development? I don't know. Taking this one to the chin and let's move on to another week. Cheers and good luck!

-4 and -2 on the weekend to make no impact whatsoever, but a cut made IS a cut made. Congrats SkyBlueBen on popping your TST cherry, they will surely come in bunches now. Onward!
