Dear TST enthusiasts, This week's Mexico Cup is played at El Jaguar GC (Yucatan CC); an RCR of a Jack Nicklaus course. The greens get slightly slippery, so you might want to take advantage of the shorter tees in round 2 and the lack of wind in round 3. Also, tee times have been moved up to ensure there's enough light left for the players in the final groups... Good luck and have fun, Frans

I make no apology for taking up room on the thread with my card. Yes, I know the course and conditions are kind and most players will tear this track up but for me, as a newbie who has struggled, it's my best ever TST round and also my first ever clean TST card and it included this... Thanks to all who shared putting tips both here and on Discord. Helped a lot though I still missed a few I really should have had!! My work in TST is done. I should really retire now!!

While I appreciate this is unlikely to make the cut it's still by a long way my best shot at it so far. Really look forward to these rounds every week. Couple of misjudged putts but getting there. And just one humph in 36 holes!! Unheard of for me.

Decided to play all 4 rounds this week. Struggled to keep the earlier momentum going and the leaderboard puts into perspective just how far I am behind the proper players. But I had a lot of fun and managed all four rounds under par which is another personal milestone. Just one putting cock up on the 18th on Round 3 to ruin a respectable days play.

SkyBlueBen -12 could have a chance of making the cut. And even if you don't, -16 is a great score. Keep in mind, a lot of the top guys are pro level players. Moving the cutline to 80 definitely helped by providing a few more spots for us mere mortals. Now if they eliminate the cutline altogether, I think I might be able to make a cut. lol Great scoring. I'll be rooting for you to make the cut.

Managed to stay out of the water also which helps, something I couldn't manage on the CC rounds. The cut? Not massively bothered, I enjoyed playing and that's what really matters at the end of the day.

Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!! Just finished my 4 rounds on a lazy Monday afternoon and even though I've gone over -50, why am I so bloody miffed??? Had a ripper Rd1 with -14 and 4 eagles on the first 4 par 5's. Rd2 was a birdie fest and was cruising until a silly 3 putt bogey on 18 and a -12. Rd3 was going nicely until the bloody 11th......didn't check my club on the tee of the long par5 and the game put a 3 wood in my hand and so landed in the left bunker. Had a tail breeze so was a shoe in birdie or even eagle chance but was left with a par and then lost the plot for the next few holes. Settled down to get to -11 but still 2 or 3 behind the leader Loveskud and gnashing my teeth a little. Rd4 started with a frustrating approach that spun back down the hill and left myself with a 40 foot curler with 2 foot uphill.....which I dropped in the side door and then went on the birdie the next 13 holes. So I'm sitting 2 behind Loveskud with 4 to play. I think 15 is a long uphill par 3 which was a safe par. Birdie on par 5 16th. 17th is a shorter par 3 and I went long and my chip in was oh so close. Needed birdie on 18 to tie and was in between clubs so hit a short 9 iron but left myself 13 feet downhill. Looked a bit L to R from behind the hole and R to L from the other way. Of course it went straight and I missed left and ended up -15 for Rd 4 and -52 total. So a couple of little stuff up episodes cost me a the chance of at least a clubhouse lead which would have been nice.... Cheers

An incredi-meh R1 @-7... stupid bogey on 17 from nowhere and failed to convert multiple "gimmes" with weak strokes. R2 - well... I dropped some shots, let's put it that way. Had a double and a triple IIRC... -5. Disgusted with myself. All in, I think this might be my first ever TST missed cut

-40 for me this week. Definitely left more than a few out there; I couldn't convince myself to allow enough on a lot of really makeable 8-12 footers and started really slow on round 2 (-1 through ten).
Will be keen to see how that stacks up on Xbox with a lot more competition on there lately.
Liked the course this week. Played well and had a very grounded feel

-24 halfway for me; nicely positioned to once again throw it all away in rounds 3&4 later this week… 😎

I liked the course a lot but I completely fell apart. I made some poor decisions that really cost me. A lot of the shots had me questioning my approach with little confidence lol. I’m not sure -10 will make the cut but here’s hoping!

Took a few weeks off from TST (might be healthy for me). Started +2 after 3 holes this week, but reigned it all in to be -22 at the cut. Not going to go nostalgic and think I can recreate the past and win a TST event, but it feels good to play well and enjoy TST rounds again without feeling it is a slog on the greens, as I have made some putting adjustments. At least for this week (through 2 rounds) they seem to have paid some dividends.
Good luck to all who have rounds yet to play and to those who have yet to finish!

It's Tuesday and I'm still checking the leaderboard for the first time this season. You wouldn't believe how chuffed I'd be to make the cut. Little things.....

I hope you have it in the bag Ben and I am clear of you by 1. But it didn't look that way to start and I double dunked on the 3rd in round 1 for a triple Humph. Scambled back to level for the front and finished -4. Round 2 much better. Onward!
