This week the top 50 on the money list and the top 25 in WGR are off to the WGC tournament (roughly 56 people). That leaves a competitive week for the rest of you to snag some good money in their absence and move up! Both Tourneys this week are being held in the lovely land down under at two spectacular sandbelt courses that were built on the opposite sides of an intense team based course design competition at the end of last year known as Dream Team! I thought it would be fun to schedule them both for this week! Port Melbourne GC by nitro22 is the slightly easier of the two courses and features some elements uncommon to sandbelt courses such as a coastal location, basically any water is typically unusual on these courses. Known for their unique style of having large, pillowy bunkers that cut directly into the greens, this style seems straight fantastical if you are unfamiliar with sandbelt courses and generally leans on angles into greens instead of hard to hit fairways. Enjoy!

Still here... Not sure I am still happy about that though. Unfortunately, (and this is in no way a stab at Q because I know all to well that pleasing everyone is impossible) my putter and I cannot compete nor seem to be able to learn to enjoy putting contests on slippery Spanish flags. We won't give up but this week our inaptness will result in red thingies... (-15 after two rounds) Best wishes Frans

I haven't been around for a while but wanted to pop in and say I really liked the course and setup. I won't contend but I've played alright for me the last 2 events considering the amount of rust and lack of weekly reps compared to when I was a better player.

Trying this crazy thing called practice rounds this week. It resulted in a sparkling -13 R1. Hopefully keep that going in R2, which will be played tomorrow.

Made my Plat debut this week after a monster Promo Event last week and a few months in Elite.
Got to -21 (-9, -12), not bad considering I had some real jitters for the first round in particular.
Gonna be a nailbiter to see if it makes the cut but tbh happy to be here either way.

Made my Plat debut this week after a monster Promo Event last week and a few months in Elite. Got to -21 (-9, -12), not bad considering I had some real jitters for the first round in particular. Gonna be a nailbiter to see if it makes the cut but tbh happy to be here either way. I remember those jitters from the first few tournaments... to be honest I've been up here for almost a year now and I still get them!! After my excellent start in R1 (-13), I bungled R2 and turned in a -10. This was definitely the easiest set up of the 4 rounds, so it was pretty disappointing to have it be my worst score of the week. I duffed a pitch that rolled back down to where it started, and with a sour taste in my mouth after that I rushed a few putts on the upcoming holes. -23 should get me safely through the cutline, though. Found the weekend rounds were much more challenging, but I brushed aside that R2 score and played great. -11 / -13 on Saturday/Sunday to come in at -47 overall. Looking to build on my 26th place finish last week, so we'll see where I end up. Pro is really helping on XB though. So much easier to get into a groove knowing that if I miss, the shot result won't be god-awful like it was before. On top of that, now when I don't hit perfect, at least it's still a data point for the brain as I learn the effects of shot shaping, wind, lie, elevation, etc. Before if you missed perfect it was just a completely wasted shot. Much happier now!

Well done Daniel, I have noticed you and I do seem to be fighting close to cut making lately. I missed the cut this week. Which kind of surprised me. When I played my two rds earlier than I normally do. I felt like that was going to be fine. Especially with the big dogs away for a jolly boys outing somewhere.
But that was not the case. I do feel I let 3-4 easy shots go by as it wasnβt that tougher challenge.
Maybe Iβm rushing as the swinging is easier. Anyway see you all next week.
Good luck and good luck Dan.

Congrats Carp, nice shooting. 19th place for me, new personal best finish. Don't need to mention the top dogs being away, thanks very much!
