Oh boy here we go, welcome to week 2 at what I guarantee is the most unique course we'll probably play all year. This week's test mainly revolves around use of unusual settings and narrow fairways. We initially gravitated towards putting this course on schedule because it provides a truly unique playing experience unlike any other and very much feels like one of those insane Irish links courses you'd see in real life where close to no land was moved leading to wild slopes and undulations on all playing surfaces. The creator of this course, jivesinator (a fellow plat player), has created other notable PTSD inducing plat courses such as The Shamblin' Shabbaroon which reared its face last year on the plat tour, and then shambled on. An addendum for plat folks: This is a once in a blue moon sort of course and Im aware it isn't going to be the most popular picks. I hope people will enjoy the novelties of it, You likely wont be playing these green speeds, yardages, or even a course of similar style most likely for a very long while (they simply don't exist in-game unless jives feels like making another one hehe). Courses like this do exist in Ireland and are a wonderful departure from what most of us might experience as a "normal" golf course. The first couple of weeks, as promised, are going to be a bit wild as we figure out how plat is going to play out on these new settings.

Still here… 😎😎😎
Loved the wind but couldn’t handle the erratic greens. Several three-putts resulted in -14 halfway and demo marks coming my way.
Best wishes Frans

Frustratingly excellent little course this one. Doesn't have to be 8000 yds to be a challenge.....and I bloody hate 3 shot par 5's.....you know, those 650+ yarders!! Toughest aspects were the downhill landing zones on the greens, particularly if you are coming out of the heavy rough. Some creativity required. Had -8 and -11 to be -19 at the cut. Probably another borderline make it or not...maybe a shot or 2 short of the cut (again) I'm predicting. Got it to -38 afterwards if any consolation but quite enjoyed the ride. Cheers

Well played chris and kara last week. Nice shooting. Last weeks course was a good selection. Love the mix up of conditions atm. Adds loads more variety. First round -15 for me. Had alot of shavers in the mid part of the round with 4 pars. Every putt is close atm. Been a change as the putting markers are slightly different than if marker is on. So having to alter the distance and line. More accordingly but its a work in progress. I did however manage 2 aces in 1 tgct round which i hadnt done before. Aced the par 3 16th then i aced the par 4 18th. Hopefully i keep getting the breaks this weak cos although i was happy with a top 5 last week. I did think about changing my name to Gillette with all the shavers.
Good luck all this week

-8 R1 for me. 11 pars just isn't going to do it! Hopefully can get a few shots below that in R2 to challenge the cut, but looks like I'm gearing up for another miss.
Had a great time in R1 though. Fun little course this one.

Awesome course pick although we all know that jivesinator revels in the art of creating meme courses. What a guy.

Really enjoyed the course this week. Except 9. 9 can do one. Nice pick Q!

It's scary to think I'm currently 5 shots off 4th place and likely won't make the cut at -19. Was looking forward to making my first cut in a very long time.

The 9th can definitely do one 😆 Round 3 cost me big time Finished -49 with a quad on 9 in rd 3 hit the flag twice and it came back to my feet with the splash. Hey ho. Two ghost putts inside 5 ft for bird in rd 4 didnt help either but hey ho. Hit my approach in stiff and fast forwarded it usin triangle and it just taps putt an inch. Must be me knocking the stick but knocked both the putts in for pars when they should of been birds. Last week was bogey free this week the dreaded snowman was my only blot. Well played brodie leading on -50 on ps so far some of them pins are evil. All about keeping your head this week. Par isnt a bad score on some holes. 2 aces in rd 1 still a massive highlight tho. Good luck all left to play!!!!

Maybe this winter I can have some time to practice instead of diving right in as usual. Looks like since the lie grid is gone we are going to have to play the craziest undulating courses we can find.

Thanks Q for allowing my dogtrack a feature spot on the most prestigious tour we have. I won't apologize for anything, commiserations for any bad bounces and similar misfortune is all you lot get. Went -24 after 2 with some of the best putting I've ever had and some of the worst tee to green play I've had as well lmao. Somehow I'm slotting in at the top of the mortal leaderboard on PC at the moment (Skud's just a little bit further up there) and can't wait to hear how everyone fares on the 163 speed round. Lastly, for anyone interested: Here's a YouTube playlist featuring some of the inspiration courses I used during the design process. Feel free to watch all or none of them, but I'm sure any of you that go there will get some enjoyment out of it. The best of the best Irish links courses are highly refined chaos and beauty. Good luck out there!

Oops. Decided to try R2 without vibration. Big mistake. After an E F9, I turned it back on and shot -7 on the back. -15 at the cutline, hopefully the B9 saves me from demo-land. Vibration is staying on for me!!!
