After a mediocre first week, luckily I bounced back now that I'm used to the pro swing. With low wind in the first round I was able to get my best TST score- a 60 (-11) but then the wind knocked the wind out of my sails and my glory days were over - a 68 (-3) to drop from the top ten to 31st after 2 rds. It's been a blast so far, glad to see new participants too - I felt it was really earned when I holed a 28 foot putt for eagle - the feeling of accomplishment is so much greater without the grid. Again, great to see us playing another real course.

What a waste of finally making a cut. -5 -4 .... -1 E = -10
I don't make many cuts and it's disappointing to not take advantage of it when I do. On another note, I'm going to try and do something similar to what SwAeromotion is doing event results to determine weekly donation amount. Unfortunately, mine has to be on a much more meager, and pathetic, scale. I'll use CC and TST events to determine a combined weekly donation amount. To start with, I'm going to use the following set-up. If my math is accurate - $3.91 toward the greenskeepers fund (along with CC total).
made cut - $1.00 0 Albatross ($2) 0 Hole in One ($1) 0 Eagle (0.50c) 20 birdies (0.05c) 43 pars (0.02c) 8 bogies (0.10c) 1 double (0.25) 0 worse (0.50c)

Must stop having a tantrum when I miss short putts making things worse. Course was ripe for getting myself under par but I screwed it. Disappointed doesn’t come close. Desperately need to slow my play down. Roll on next week 🤣 It does take time Ben, I have no doubt you will be getting the hang of it soon. I flipped my script this week (-3 in round 1, should have been better; -8 in round 2, tidy outward) but I doubt I will make the cut on -11 on this course with those conditions. Waiting patiently.... Made it! Did squadoosh on the weekend, but a cut made is well a cut made! Finished -14, comfortably near the bottom so not a long way to fall. Onward!

Back into the TST swing for now. Love/hate relationship with putting on no grids, so no guarantees on future TST play. Still a nice finish for the week at -34 for the event.
Helped my cause with two fairway holeouts in the 4th round:
Round 4, Hole # 4
Round 4, Hole #13

To me TST is all about proximity to the hole. Closer you are, the better chance of making.
That being said, I missed more shorties this week than I can remember. Cost me at least 6 shots, maybe more.
Anyone else experience that?
Onward.

Anyone else experience that? Onward. Completely agree with the approach being the most important shot when playing TST settings. Like in real golf I guess getting the ball in play from the tee is important and on particularly strategic holes placement can be important but getting it in play to enable that approach is paramount. Last night I played x2 recently released favourites (Del Monte Heights and Sanford Pines) and played the best I have played on TST settings. From memory hit maybe x2 not so great approaches at Del Monte for a -10. Most within 3 to 5m of the pin. And I had a quick read from front and back down low and executed my putts well. I didn't dwell and think too long. Went with my gut instinct although I think I'm starting to read the line better. Sanford Pines I had a -3 but the greens at Sanford are more undulating IMO. Regarding the shorties at TPC Summerlin I agree I missed a lot of them costing me about 5 to 6 shots. Bad approaches didn't help. I think if I play well from this point and continue to improve I know I can make the cut. It's such a great way to play this game. No scout cam and no green grids. It's about as sim in terms of scoring as you can get. Well for me anyway! I still see -12 per round at the top. Really amazing stuff. Hey I'm on Xbox so that's my excuse.

Finished strong after the 60-68. 3rd round rolled in two from 28 feet and 32 feet then in round 4, holed out from 135 yards on 2 for eagle, hit great approaches for two more eagles on 9 and 16. Along with two chip-in's it was a great day - finished 60-68-65-60 to place 21st. Lotta fun but I doubt I'll get a top 25 next week - I don't normally play this well or have luck. We'll see - good luck next week everyone.

2 from 2 xvshitanvx . Well done! Off to a flyer and would appear to be the one to beat. Sportsbet already showing B. Howe at 5 to 1 to be leading the Moneylist at seasons end. You can also take blueblood1995 to make a cut within the next 3 tourneys at 10 to 1. Juicy!
