Man, thought for sure my -10 after two rounds would make the cut, but looks like it's going to be close. I'm really going to be kicking myself, there were a good half dozen putts between the two rounds I really should have made (within 8 feet) but just didn't hit them hard enough.
I'm a little too nervous about the putts coming back, I need to worry more about the putt in front of me.

Ha ha ha. I know what you mean. I’ve started over reading breaks or have a case of the yips or something. I’ve been extremely tentative with putting as of late and it’s causing me strokes. I’ve probably lost 5 strokes from this current tournament. I think you are fine at -10. Should be plenty to make the cut.
I’m at -16 after two. First round was not that great but I shot lights out in Rd 2.

Did anyone find Rd 3 difficult? I had a few inexplicable things happen that cost me a good round. Managed -4 after a 3 hole stretch on front nine of +4.

Took a few weeks off for a variety of reasons, but I'm back on tour this week at the Amazon Prime Golf Classic, with the beautiful Emerald Pines Ocean Club playing host!
Rounds one and two were very similar in terms of my performance, so it's no surprise that my opening scores resulted in 66-66 for a total score of -10. We shall see where I stand in regards to the cut line, but there have already been some low scores posted to the leaderboard.

Rough go this week, even though I played well from tee to green. Played my first round at +1, and my second at -1, although I felt I played much better in the first round and there was very little wind. Those pin placements just bedeviled me.

Looks like -10 is good enough for the weekend at the Amazon Prime Golf Classic! However, my game pretty much stayed stuck in neutral, as I achieved almost identical scores throughout the event.
I shot 66-66-66-67 for a four-day total of 265, or -19. I imagine this will probably be good enough only for a top 50 finish. But coming off a few weeks away, I'm happy with my scores!

Meh, another pretty poor week. Warmed up for these rounds by playing a round in the Beer League tournament - shot a -8 there. Proceeded to jump on the CC tourney and post a -1 and then an even par round. Went from very consistent tempo for 18 holes to all over the place.
Just as in real golf, clearly I need to work on the mental side of things.

Hello, friends!
Coming off a T36 at the Amazon Prime Golf Classic, I'm primed and ready to "scare" up some birdies at the spook-tacular Darkwater Barrens, the host of this week's Blue Moon Championship! Here's a toast to refreshing adult beverages from the beer cart as well!
Any time you begin a round with a double-bogey, you know you're in for an adventure! Round one began that very way for me, but I followed that double up with birdie-eagle, and was back on track! Another eagle on No. 5, and things looked up...until a tempo bonanza at Hole 8 led to two water balls and a triple-bogey...
I signed my psycho-scorecard for round one, which featured a triple, a double, and TWO eagles, for a 1-under 71.
Round two began a bit better, as I started with four birdies on the first five holes. I gave a couple back on the front, going out in 33. But it was on the back nine where fireworks started to fly. The highlight was this hole-out for eagle from 94 yards on No. 13:
I finished the back nine with 32, giving me a two-day total of 71-65, or -8. We will see if that's good enough for the weekend, or if the course has frightened me away from the game until next week!

Made the cut at this week's Blue Moon Championship by 2 strokes, so it's on to the weekend!
Not a whole lot of excitement to report in rounds 3 and 4, as the consistent, yet unspectacular play continued for me. Round 3 was pretty solid, as I was able to tally 7 birdies to just one bogey, giving me a round of 66. The final round was more of the same, as I posted a 67, which left me at a final score of 269, or 19-under. Again, a probable Top 40 performance, but some improvement soon would be nice!
Next week, it's off to the Chubbs Peterson Memorial, hosted at the lovely Zodiac. See you all next week!

Not sure if I enjoy this course because I generally score well there, or if I score well there because I like the course - but huge improvement compared to the last few weeks. Went 60-65 to sit at -15 after two rounds.
Tempo was pretty solid throughout and actually felt like I played about as well on round two as round one, but burned a lot of edges with the putter.
This was much needed, considering I'm sitting on three demo marks.

It's actually going to be another off week for me on CC-I, as the US Thanksgiving holiday is approaching, and this means I'll be travelling a bit to visit family.
Good luck to all CCers at Zodiac this week, and Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating!

Ended up at -23, going -6 and -2 in the final two rounds. Thought round four was the toughest setup of the week, but also started to get loose with the tempo. Fingers crossed, dropping a demotion mark or two.

Ugh. Two practice rounds, shot a -10 and a -8 here. First two rounds of the tournament? -4 and even par. A missed cut a week after clearing a demotion mark. My kingdom for some consistency!
