Poor start followed by a pretty good 2nd round left -18 at the cut which should be comfortable. Held on in Round 3 and then had an unexplainable last round when everything went wrong. Glad to be finished.

-10, -8, -4, -12 this week all could have been better. Don't let my 3rd round score mislead you. I had two relatively simple shots that I dumped into the water, which was likely a 4 shot swing. I think the wind was up, but the green speed was down, so kind of a situation like those middle rounds last week.
Get your birdies and eagles in early. The final 4 hole stretch isn't the place to rely on making a rally. I think I may have been even through 4 rounds on those holes.

Since qualifying for the CC I have failed to make a cut. Got relegated from CC-C, missed the cut last week in my first week of CC-D but I was quite hopeful this week. -5 first round left a lot of work to do. 2nd round was only -4 but it wasn't helped by a 9 on the 8th hole par 3 (I think). Looks like i'll be posting in CC-E next week.

Bit more hopeful of making the cut this week with -18 after two rounds but fell to pieces after that so there won’t be much interest in the leaderboard from Wednesday onwards for me!!

Haven't played the final two rounds, but a bit of everything from the first two rounds.
R1: -2 on the front; -9 on the back. Couldn't buy a putt on the front, but hit them too close on the back to miss. R2: -10 was actually kind of a struggle with a lot of wayward shots with some good recoveries. Besides a long 3-putt bogey, putting was tight though.

Welp, stubbed my toe a bit the last two rounds. Should have just played all 4 the other day when I was more dialed in.
R3 was like the first round, where there were a few putts that I just stared in disbelief at, kind of deflating. After making a mess of the 16th, I did go eagle-birdie to finish -8, but there's some serious low #s on the leaderboard for that round.
R4 my tempo was off both ways for like half of it. When I got to the 13th tee, I had 3 birdies and 9 pars and this was very much "get it over with". So just quick aim, fire. Not bothering with loft/spin or even really looking at the contour of the green, just look at the yardage and smack it. Naturally, I close with 6 straight birdies. I hate this game, lmao.

This forum has gone very quiet!
3rd round at Firestonewas brutal. Strong winds, playing off the back tees along with those trees reaching onto the fairway made it very challenging indeed. I had to fight for my -6.
Great course though.. definitely plays more realistic off the back tee with the extra wind.

Welcome Harry to CC-D, best of luck out on the course my friend.
How has the course design been going? Any particular theme to the course are you creating?

Finally getting back into a decent swing. Played well on the first round -14. A little off on the second in easier conditions (in my opinion), but still -22 through two. Should be enough for another cut but not quite challenging.

Looks like the cut will be around -16, so you should be fine mate. How about that par 4 on the back 9 with the huge stone arch. Kinda cool that hole.

Got promoted up from CCG this week. Couldn't buy a put in round 1 for a -3 then dropped a solid -13 in rd 2. Sweating out the cut at -16, especially since I went -16 in rd 3 with my first ever ace and 2 more eagles. Spun back into the drink on 18 in rd 4 for a double bogey to go from -8 to -6 and a -38 overall...pending cut survival.
