A slow start to this tourney. Opening round of -6. Concerned this may result in a demotion mark (or two?) I was focused right from the outset of Rnd 2. Hole 1 = birdie and I never looked back! With concentration levels peaking in the high winds a score of -13 (59) will surely make the cut again this week. I brought it!

I however did the opposite. -10 opener, stinko -1 in round 2 and looking at another M/C. With 2 demos already, I need to scrape in so I can lose one instead of gaining. Waiting patiently...

Wow. 59 in that round 2 setup, that's awesome. I figured anything double digits would be a really good round in those conditions.
I had my opportunity after a ho-hum opening round. Began with a -7 in R1, but then was -6 through 9 in the 2nd round. Unfortunately, that's the score I ended at for the cut. -11 in the 3rd round isn't going to move me enough to get out of no-man's land if I make the cut, but at least if -13 is enough, I can dump one of those demo strikes.

Thanks gordyberry . Whenever I go on a run of birdies I REALLY go on a run of birdies. It was one of those rounds which seemed effortless. I play by feel not math and I ws just nailing the approaches and then putting the lights out. I actually missed x2 putts inside 10ft which I should have made but on the flipside made a couple of long ones. It all evens out in the end! Good luck to you!

Pair of 61s to open. Pretty smooth rounds, nothing spectacular, could have been better. Few times I've been surprised where I'm not getting the ball to play off ridges on my approaches.
I still have a semi-common tendency to just snap one left, but otherwise I'm hitting my 4I and up more solid than I have pretty much the whole season. I was just kind of tentative with the putter, especially in the 2nd round.
Caught a great break on that par 4 with the sort of split fairway (14?) in the 2nd round. The attacking the pin from the right side has been difficult for me, because I just haven't felt right aiming far enough right to hold it up there. Tugged my tee shot right in the middle and instead of getting stuck behind a tree or something, it bounced off the top of the rock and I had a simple SW to a couple feet.
Just give me two more pars on the 15th and let me forget about that hole. I spent so many unplayable/rehits in practice trying to come up with a shot I could hit in these first two rounds and the best thing for me has pretty much been playing for a SW chip from just off the green.

Made that surprising cut last week, did little with it but did get the complimentary removal of one demo. I also opened with a handsome pair of -11s. Working on getting that last red mark removed Onward!

Working on getting that last red mark removed Onward! I've put the house on Art Vandelay removing the painful looking "cherry" from his nose and I've put the wife on him winning this tourney. Don't let me down Art! EDIT: "I've put the wife on him"... awkward turn of phrase so let me rephrase... I've wagered the wife. You loose she goes! Hah hah. (It's all in the name of being able to play a bit more PGA 2K21 without the guilts!)

I blew my great start and am now heading back to my rightful place. Mid table mediocrity.

Womp womp. Wanted to make sure to not drag this out too long, so went and played the last two rounds.
-9, -7 for -38 on the week, going out with a whimper.
3rd round was really weird, and pretty up and down.
Last round, I don't know. I think I was just out of it. Missed a few swings early on and never really got in a groove. Putting on those super slow greens does not suit me at all.
Overall I had fun on this course, just not my erratic swing the last 36 holes. Plenty of opportunities out there and I was spraying it.
