If you're implying I'm purposefully sandbagging or something (god knows why I would want to) the reason I left platinum was because my dad was suffering from cancer and passed away and I didn't have the motivation to play. Joined beer league to free up a space in Platinum because the tours are thriving. Then when no new game was on the horizon and things calmed down at home following my dad's passing I thought I may as well get back into it and the community. If I've misunderstood and you're simply giving me some sort of WWE bio piece, ignore me Craig, Thanks for your reply and so sorry to hear about your dad. My dad died of a pancreatic cancer at age 58, so I can certainly understand personally what you went through. Yes, my post was kind of a WWE bio documenting your climb back up the ranks, but also a bit of frustration about the lack of any kind of continuity in the tour. People join the TGC Tour and zip up through the ranks, many not joining this forum and the majority not supporting financially. Postings have nearly stopped all together in these sections and it’s sad to see no rivalries or banter anymore.

Thanks mate and very sorry to hear about your dad as well. It's an awful illness.
Apologies, on first read I totally got the wrong end of the stick there. I'm too used to people on the in-game boards getting a bit funny about low scores in CC. Totally my bad.
It is a shame it's so quiet in here. I think a lot of discussion is spread across various discords nowadays unfortunately. Dunno if you've ever tried True Sim Tour but there's usually a bit more chat in there (and it's a great game mode). Fwiw though I loved this weeks CC-A course, one of the best I've played recently.
Sorry again and play well!

Will do! I played a few TST events Season 1. That takes real talent and it is so impressive what you all shoot with no aids! Your dad will always be with you. My TGC and PS forum handle, BrownieF104 was my dad’s call sign and the jet he flew as a test pilot in the Air Force. He was a true Top Gun before it existed, and he flew with Chuck Yeager and was one of the 1st pilots to break Mach 1. Good luck with the rest of your tourney!

Awesome! 58 is no age to go but it sounds like he had a hell of a time. Likewise first thing I did when I came back to the game was play a round at Sawgrass where we went on holiday when I was younger. Loads of good memories. Blessing and a curse really. Anyway, take care man and same to you, good luck this week!

I've found this course a little challenging. I'm back in CC-C and struggling 2 shots off the cut at -22.
Unfortunately this week I've developed a bit of a hook on the drives and heard that dreaded splash sound.
I encourage more talk on these forums. I ve tried a few times to open up some conversation... but can be like pigeons sending messages sometimes.

Easy to find water or even very sloppy lies in the heavy rough that made it tough to reach the green or get anywhere near birdie range at least. I ended up -55 iirc (-18, -9, -16, -12). Kicking myself at that second round score.

First round of -17 on this week's course.
Think this will be a really bunched up leaderboard as the course is definitely on the easier side and there for the taking, judging by the first round conditions at least.
Play well guys, and keen to hear what you think of it.
Missed two tied wins in a row last week by a shot. God damn my second round collapse!

Wow Craig, you are just killing it mate! I will need to get tips from you ;-) I ended up shooting a PB over 4 rounds, -56. I was rather chuffed in that. 1st round -9 set me back a little.
For me definitely feel this is the easiest course I have played on all season. A couple of those par 4's are way too easy, very driveable and no great danger in going for it. Still enjoyed it though, not complaining 1 bit!
