I was away volunteering at the Ryder Cup all last week (USA! USA! USA!) and am just getting around to seeing this...
My entry into this contest was the first one I'd ever entered a design competition. And it was also just the third course I'd made that had been given "Tour Worthy" status. I made my course with no intention of winning the contest, nor getting TW status - I never design to impress people or win "awards" or anything like that. I did it because I love designing, I love getting better at designing, and I enjoy the community here of other folks who like doing these kinds of nerdy things that other people might not understand.
This kind of stuff is really the thing that makes me consider getting away from the community from time to time. People volunteer their time and efforts to try to keep this running as smoothly as possible, only to get pestered and called out by others in the forums and thru PMs because they think they're owed something or whatever.
It's sad that this Parkland contest was created by folks who wanted a CASUAL, FUN contest that would add more of a certain style of course to the database and the public eye, only for the typical Tour Worthy whining and "woe is me" mentality to make an appearance and take away from the work that's being done on other courses submitted for this competition, as well as the work being done by reviewers, judges, etc.

As much as I do not care about this melodramatic self pity session, I feel compelled to point out that the reviewing process is a completely separate thing and has absolutely nothing to do with the organization or judging of the parkland contest.

As a co-host, I can confirm the parkland contest has no affiliation to the reviewing process. They work separately. Yes, a reviewer is a judge of this contest, but he did not review your course.
I remember shooting Benny a PM back in July about possibly helping to run the contest, and we both agreed that the contest didn't need to be anything serious - it's a fun and casual way of getting people to try their hand at a different style of course to what you tend to see more commonly in bigger contests. We also wanted to get newer designers involved to give them a try at creating a full course. We haven't got anything to do with the way your course is reviewed for the database, they work separately. End of story.

Like the Misty Moist conditions Well blended textures Clean Lines Classic Parkies style Nothing tricked up here with subtle elevations Sloping fairways in all directions add to the challenge 10th green is a bit of a bowl cut 13th – that number ? Bit too pinched up there in the driver landing zone Few odd shaped bunkers here and there , they seem to sneak into some of your designs 17th looks a bit like a Template design, something different Apart from that, classic Sam style course. No hangups, easy on the eye End of round – Fir 100% - stats say it all - good playability Good on you for having a crack at another contest, your contributions are admirable so is the number of courses your have made Apologies pingzing I meant to reply earlier. Many thanks for kind words & feedback... it's much appreciated. The course is barely a week old & has amassed over 300 plays already with a 4½ star rating so I'm very pleased. I've been told by a number of players it's my best course of 2K21 which is also most gratifying.
