Season 8 will be launching sometime in the next few weeks, stay tuned to posts by Doyley as I am sure he will let us all know when it becomes official. I am lining up courses now to fill out the first few weeks of the season. So far we are headed to Redtail River, Yellowgrass Prairie Club, Arthur Dunes and Rhoah Ruins in some yet to be determined order. With the swing moving to pro, I am curious to hear about the players feelings on course difficulty going forward. A lot of the top designers were recently competing in the CC design contest. I have chosen a couple of those courses listed above to go on our tour at the start of the year and I will be using conditions to beef them up a bit for a couple of rounds each week. What would you rather see? More difficult courses chosen to counteract the pro swing? Or more rounds with difficult conditions on our typical level of courses? A combo of both? Neither, just keep moving forward with a similar schedule to last season and let the pro swing fall where it may with scores? I personally don't care about how low you guys go. If the scores end up being in the -50s or higher for winners on pro swings that does not bother me. Everyone is playing the same course and has the same opportunity for a birdie bonanza. At the same time that is true the other way as well. If it is difficult, it is difficult for everyone. Vote, multiple times if you like. Comment. Ignore. Whatever floats your boat. Excited to start the next season and get back into it with y'all.

Some easy rounds and some hard rounds each week but long with skinny fairways negates some of the Pro Swing advantage. Everyones most likely going to be playing the longest clubs in the bag so it should level the playing field, the only defense these courses are going to have is length and greens. Just my two cents

Even though I have no right to comment as I'm never going to get back to Elite in this version of the game, you missed an option:
- Courses with lots of sloping lies so the "no lie grid" comes into play!

I’d say just continue to give us the best courses regardless of difficulty. For me, playing on a course that’s technically well-executed, with great visuals and interesting strategy is way more important than the course hitting some sort of target difficulty level. If some weeks -55 wins and the next it’s at -35, then so be it.

Lots of beautiful courses, a variety of styles and the more strategy the better. Looking forward to the new season getting started

Definitely plenty of variety in course and conditions to keep if fun and interesting; don't want VF/VF/VH with matchstick fairways and postage stamp greens week after week just to keep scores in a virtual game low.

I appreciate the feedback everyone. For the beginning of the season it looks like we will stay on path from last season with simply picking the best courses I can find, no matter their difficulty, and adjusting conditions from there.
I think it is a nice way to start the year, and is a good way to go about the course availability we have to choose from right now with all the new CC contest courses coming out.
Per usual for me, I will not be using "very high" winds ever on this tour. I think it can get a bit silly season out there in those conditions. But, I will be using at least one round of 187s and sometimes two if the greens can handle it. That being said, the first four weeks of conditions are set, and I only used 187s for two rounds in week 3 so far.
So, be prepared to go make some birdies early this season and we will see where things settle as new courses come out. I know it isn't up on the site yet, but for those of you who love a good practice round the first four weeks are:
Week 1 - Arthur Dunes - Tough true test of golf to start the season with devilish greens Week 2 - Redtail River - CC contest course with lots of elevation and slopes that should be fun with the new difficulty rules Week 3 - Yellowgrass Prairie Club - CC contest course that we will be cranking to 187s multiple rounds Week 4 - Rhoah Ruins (Black and blue tees) - CC contest course with a longer tee option that we will be using (Black)

I would say as a whole. Most Xbox players are now happy with the changes. And as a whole we realize that we will still get skunked by the ps players no matter the settings. So it really doesn’t matter what Course, conditions or obstacles you throw at me.I’m sure I will barely make a cut anyway. The scores will just be wickedly low
