Lets Go Scoot my very good friend . An absolutely massive leap from Talking Stone in both design , execution , environment and strategy . McGoot and Sons design have arrived . The whole course plays wonderfully with some amazing holes throughout . 12 and 13 are my particular favourites . Great Job mate #10 Simon

Enjoyed my round here, Scoot. I put together a technical feedback video for you on areas I think you can improve upon for your future courses. You made a big jump from your last course so the bar has been raised for your next endeavor.

Really enjoyed the looks on this course - and the routing - seeing glimpses of the course on the way round was great and the infinity greens were spectacular. Guess where the red slow kicked in....

Environment was great and its a very playable course. I'm all in favor for fun short par 3's but the green may have been a bit too big for such a short 3. Seemed like an automatic birdie. (There was another par 3, hole 17 I think) that was a very long par 3 but a very small green so vice versa there. Some of the short 4s maybe needed a reason to hit driver more. A lot of the time I was just wanting to hit a wood for a wedge in instead of wanting to take it on with driver and try to pitch it in. Hole 12 was stunning and my favorite on the course, a very fun par 5 along the cliff very well done!
All in all there's no doubt you've made great progress since your first couple design league entries and it's a great course. Looking forward to what you bring next!

Loved the course, although the tee box at Hole 9 would have had me slightly terrified!!! I really want to take a tropical vacation now, too...

Lovely island course with some pretty holes. It has a great little clubhouse i.imgur.com/AENnR6t.jpg and a rooftop pool! A wonderful range i.imgur.com/SQnBvrB.jpgThe plot looks really cool i.imgur.com/ffl09B4.jpgI got off to a horrid start with a big red fast but my approach made up for it. Nearly slam-dunked it on 3. Quite a small green on 5 but being a short par 4 that is it's defence. 7,8,9 along the cliffs are fun holes. Then I got to 10 and scared myself with a dead red slow. No idea where that came from. Made a clutch 19 footer for par. Thought I was gone on 12, but just got enough grass to stop it. Learnt my lesson coming to 15 and laid up to the fat part of the green but still rolled onto the fringe. 16 is a thinking hole. Glad I missed the green on 17, not sure the ball would have stayed on the green with that front slope. I'd hate to have a downhiller from behind the pin! 18 is a nice solid par 5 to finish where I went driver/driver for a tap in birdie. Solid course and enjoyed my round.

I'll get my critiques out of the way first because I thought this was a really solid publish Bunker sculpting was pretty varied. Some I didnt love because they felt a bit too flat, whereas some felt a bit steep. Nothing majorly bad but maybe I'd have liked more consistency. As you probably know strategy is gonna improve for you over time. Would have loved some more width on the fairways, but I thought 12 was strategically very solid - cool spin on a C&C template there. Routing was generally okay, but I wasnt a fan of routing from 13 green to 14 tee and then 16 green to 17 tee. I think you could have maybe sacrificed one of those two showstopper back nine par threes to aid the routing, although this is very much a personal thing since you know I'm a purist Overall though I really enjoyed this course! Really liked the green sculpting and some of the coastal holes (3, 9, 12). Great environment and sightlines thru the tree lines - I feel like we have a great publish to come from you soon. Well done Scott! Very good work buddy.

Also as I've said before, just because I had notes on the course doesnt mean I didnt like the course! It's a huge step up from Talking Stone and great for a second course.

Really, really like this Scoot. Not usually my style of course but this was done very well. Right off the bat, the vibe and atmosphere was just great. Loved the clubhouse, kinda reminded me of what I did on Marisand Island. The pines and scrub/waste areas were top notch planting. Must've taken forever, but well worth it. Lighting is great and really doesn't hinder visibility like it sometimes can on those settings. Sculpting, bunkers and sightlines were all well executed for the most part. Thought I saw some slight slope on the 16th tee, for what it's worth. Went left of the center-line bunker and still had a hard time getting a look at the pin on the 9th. Loved all the par 3's, especially the 2nd. Just a fun little hole. Also liked the 17th quite a bit but worry that tour guys will want a little more of a bail-out area. The 18th green was delightfully brutal. Played this on my PC and forgot to change the settings from my easy "testing settings," but kinda crushed this at 12 under. Think we probably just have different design philosophies, where you're going for that hyper-realistic style and I'm more about accounting for the relative easiness of a video game and maybe get a little too tricked out sometimes. Still, a highly enjoyable round and I'm sure that score will come down when I play the more difficult setting on my PS4. With that in mind, where exactly do you imagine this is set? Planning a World Tour for my small society and would love to include it. Just gotta know where it fits.
All in all, great course. Congrats!

The name is actually Samoan but I don’t think tall pines really fit in Samoa, but maybe somewhere in the Atlantic? Or go with Samoa. Lol. But thanks for giving it a play and using it in your society
