Just wanted to say thank you to Doyley. I just finally used your club chart for the very first time. I played about 5-6 rounds. Adjusting my loft and club selection depending on the hole. I was consistently shooting -5 under on a future course in our tour. I know I am not PGA Tour material yet. But I have lofty goals to get there some day. This club selection chart really helped me zone in more on the pin more than I had been doing. I had several tap-ins for birdie, missed a few close putts otherwise I could have been -8 to -10. I am feeling a bit more confident as we roll into next weeks tournament.
Fingers crossed!
Thanks Doyley!!!! That chart rocks! For those who are new. I suggest you use it if you get the chance. After a few rounds it almost becomes second nature to you and on occasion you will reference the chart. But it definitely locks you in more.

I was a bit dubious with the chart when I first looked. I didn't want to play like a robot as such, it wouldn't feel like golf then. I agree though that once you get the idea of the numbers it becomes second nature. The chart helped me understand how the game works but now I never refer to it, I'm pretty spot on when it comes to distances now until I swing wrong and hit a 90% shot straight into the water! The chart helped me make the cut on Web A for the first time this week even if it was by 1 shot! Thanks Doyley but now can you help more on chipping and putting? With the putting I'm good with distance but can't read the break consistently and I'm okay with chipping if it's a loft wedge but not if it's any higher.
