Welcome to Yellowgrass Prairie Club, my entry into the 2021 CC Contest. The course takes inspiration from the land I hunt on. When I'm out there I'm always designing holes in my head, and it was fun to create a plot and bring them to life. The course works its way through the prairie and beside, over, and around the large ravines that cut through the property. The ground game is alive and well and there are a lot of fun shots to hit throughout your round. The required elements I've chosen for judging are; Three shot par 5 - #1 Five par 3s - #3, #5, #7, #14, #16 A 230+ yard par 3 - #16 Three par 4s under 400 yards - #6, #9, #12, #17

Jesus this course is a monster and very much a notice to all other people competing in this contest that this is the course to beat. Just visually stunning from start to finish.

I will play the course.
There are some golf holes I’ll like probably.
The planting looks great I guess.
I'll probably like the green sites too.
Ok thanks.

Gdog is streaming it and it's a tasty cookie. Well done. I'd like to wad up my CC course and throw it into the waste bin

I'm from Iowa and this is definitely looks like it could work for a midwest style course as well. Really liked how you did the ravines and off-course treelines. Definitely not a look I've seen before and seemed super realistic. Nice job! Unfortunately, I think you're in my group...

Loved the course and especially the hills that were the backdrop to it. Wish I’d done the same thing on Sandy Boots with the hay bales those looked like the real thing from a distance.

Absolutely stunning work here, Matty. The bunkering is some of the best I've seen and the sculpting was sublime. Loved all the little mounds and hollows in the terrain and the sweeping vistas across the plot were second to none. Great course buddy!

I thought your last one was your best to date but this is right up there. Wide fairways lull you into thinking it’s easy but the camber and undulations and elevation changes will put that to rest. The bunkering is really well done and the planting is killer. Looks like something you’d see in the Midwestern US…open fields, rolling hills and grass for days. The views across the plot were just awesome. Well done, MFC, this is definitely a contender

Really appreciate the kind words everyone! It was a lot of fun to make. Here's an overhead for all you routing nerds out there.
