Welcome to Rhoah Ruins! This is my entry into the 2021 CC Design Contest. Par72. Measuring from 6363yds (red) to >7400yds (black). Contest judging from the blue tees (7130yds). Course has generously sized FWs and greens, but no 1st rough cut so good shots are needed if you're trying to maximize distance. Pins are balanced for difficulty and position across the 4 pinsets. Greens have some good undulations but all pins are approachable and scorable with good shots. Course was my vision of a heathland, links, and traditional course having a baby with all aspects blended together. Focus was on playability with rewarding good shots while still being challenging enough and punitive to poor shots and decisions. Default green speeds are 179, and can be maxed out for added difficulty but also slowed down as needed. Contest elements used: At least one driveable par 4 (hole 15) At least two holes with zero bunkers (multiple, but holes 11, 14 for judging) At least one blind tee shot (multiple, but hole 18 for judging) At least three par 4s under 400 yards (holes 4, 10, 15) Hope you give it a go and let me know what you think! Cheers! Dale (coruler2)

Cracking course, man. Loved the environment and some of your most strategic golf to date! Great work.

Great track and really liked the colour pallet you have used with the rough. Just like real golf I always aim at something, knowing I'll never hit it, but a fast swing off the first put me square in the middle of the fairway hazard. Luckily enough it kicked through. I'd say the first green is my least favourite and is a little out of place. The rest of the greens were a little less severe with bigger areas around the pin and flowed better. Some great elevation changes and split fairways. A phantom 3 putt on the third from 12 foot was upsetting. You can see the 11th and 15th tees needs another going over to make it flat. Some very strong par 3s. I made a big swinging birdie putt on 12. The tee shot on 15 is mesmerising as the camera swings around watching the ball trickle off the low side of the green. A terrible red slow on the monstrous 16th caught me out and I couldn't get up and down. Loved the ruins on the right hand side of the 17th fairway i.imgur.com/5yjZCac.jpg and on the first i.imgur.com/HnItWFa.jpg. Nicely done blind tee shot on 18 with the clubhouse in the distance. The lighting is lovely and sets off the grasses with just the right shimmer. A good looking plot with the ridgeline splitting the routing between the nines. Decent size clubhouse i.imgur.com/VxLZ3w4.jpgLovely practise facilities i.imgur.com/FNjd7r7.jpg

Really like the browned out look and the planting to match. Is that a highlands background too? I think it fits really well. Good luck with the contest!
