"hobble beta" now published, please jump on and play! any feed back welcome! Also, Im waiting for update, will replace sand cart paths with real cart paths... THANKS! Thoroughly enjoyed the course. The back 9 is especially scenic with some beautiful views. #13 is a quite short Par 5, but what a great hole, my personal favorite by far. Great job overall. I'm not familiar with the course but have been following the exchange of info with you and Dr. Yeti , as it interested me all the details you were focusing on, utilizing real photos, etc. Shot a -13, made a few lucky putts. By far the defense of this course is it greens, and luckily I escaped without a 3 putt somehow. Two things I noticed. Pin position on #7 may be a bit extreme. A putt hit with more force than maybe a foot past the hole to the left will funnel down the slope leaving you probably a 15+ ft putt back up (managed to make my comeback). Also, I noticed on #17 the scorecard says 388 but the actual yardage was 420 or so to the pin. I know these issues happen due to way-points/landing areas etc., but thought I'd point them out in case you were a stickler and wanted to change them to match one another. Will play again for sure. Looking forward to the final release as well!

Forgot to the mention the course's other challenge of accounting for significant elevation changes on approaches. The par 3's are not very long, but are certainly not easy birdie holes if you don't pick the right club.

This is a stunning course. Unique look - great elevation work and great planting! Can tell that a this is a labor of love! Also the routing and hole lay out is impeccable. The virtual designers we have on here are not bad - but when you play a realistic real course creation the differences between them and real desingers really stand out.
Hobble will - as most real courses - play beautifully with no aids as well. This will really bring out the feel of some of those tee shots.
Have a couple of things to comment on though. First greens were though and quite sloped. Is this how the real course plays? I liked it, just seemed a tad severe in places. Then pins were often in the middle of the greens, a more balanced set up would maybe make the course even better. Finally there was a distinct "band" or line between green and brown in the mountain visible from 14 and 15, is it supposed to be like that?
A tournament set up with tucked pins would be nice as well as maybe a couple of fictional championship tees to stretch some holes.
Overall this is a top five course in game for me. Outstanding work.

Thank you for the feedback! The greens really are tough there and fast, I'm not sure if I have them fast enough... Dr Yeti plans to play Hobble soon in real life and give me some green specs. I will add that knowledge to final version. I tried to get them as close as possible from memory. As for the mountain, that is the edge of the map that causes the distinct line, not really sure how to solve that one, may need to remove the heavy rough, or just live with it. Believe it or not I was actually toying with the thought of placing some tournament tees and adding some length to the course. I think that would be a lot of fun! Thanks again for giving it a go!

I just played your beta. I thought it was awesome. I have played the course probably 4-5 times in real life. I definitely remember a few holes in particular and I thought you nailed them. Great job with all the elevation changes the course has. I remember the greens being somewhat fast in real life. You did nice work on 14. Once I stepped up on the tee in the game, it jogged my memories of that hole. I honestly can say that this was one of my favorite RCRs that I have played on the game. Thanks for taking the time and effort making it. I may be biased, being from Utah and all, with my evaluation; but, this will go down as a favorite of mine. How will the final product differ from this beta?

Really wanted to fav this course but I just couldn't bring myself to do because of one solitary reason...... The greens where over the top sloped.Everything else was spot on, I loved the atmosphere and feeling the course gives out. Deserves a fresh version with more mellowed greens.

If you speed up the greens with the current slope some holes would be unfair, have a little flattening session on the greens and it's a beast of a course.

Thank you for the feedback. this is why I like to put out a beta version. The greens will be getting some tweaking for the final version. I have also fixed a few bad spots already. Just waiting on the feedback from Dr Yeti and other Utah players.
