Why can't we play a realistic golf course instead of an arcade game. Rocks piles everywhere. Be forewarned - if you miss or roll off No. 7 green to the left it will roll all the way down the hill into the water. No. 18 hit on the fringe of green, rolled down hill through another green 47 yards from where it hit. Not a fan of this golf course.

It's 6600 yards... be thoughtful on your way around this track.

I know where I want to hit but the chances of hitting it seem to get slimmer every week 🤣

I think Dan's advice is solid. I took a spin on the course under default conditions....even though it was stunning at dusk, most times I barely saw more that a shadowy representation of my gawlfer. Please tell me the lighting will be brighter for the official rounds.

I did some practice on this yesterday on Pro clubs. Found it a fun/different course. Nice to play something a little different.
However. I have not played this on Master clubs. (or default lighting) The way I'm hitting masters and if it's in dark'o'vision (hate that, some if us are older and struggle in poor lighting) I may have to turn on ball trails just to watch the laser show.
Hopefully there are no crowds on the course, cause someone will get hurt by a ricochet or 20. It`s going to be a bloodbath out there as a certain Wag....used to say
That par 5 3`rd is lots o fun if the wind is favorable you can get a nice 150+ yard rollout (have video from yesterday) then its just a PW into the green for your second shot. Can be an easy eagle.
edited to add. Removed part about a short par 4 because I`m so so old, I don`t remember which course I played that had a drivable par 4 2`nd hole. Thought it was this one but second guessing my memory now lol.

I’ve played this course several times both when it was released for the national treasure contest and now under tour conditions. It’s tough. There are plenty of spots where you’ll be tempted to take more than what the course is giving you. Don’t. This is not going to be a birdie fest…err on the side of caution especially if tempo is an issue. Is that a winning strategy? Maybe not. But there’s more harm to be done trying to squeeze a shot into an area and taking chances than playing it safe. Rocks, long roll offs, OB are all issues being faced this week that can cause very large numbers on the scorecard.

Tanman nailed this setting, tbf. As for the course? Maybe 1 hole I dont like? Other than that, damn good.

Even off reds that was tough. Green speeds that fast generally kill me anyway. If tempo off you will suffer as lots of tucked away awkward pins. Nice course.

Welcome to week 45! This week we head overseas to play the wonderful Vikingklubbens Grotte by TeeeJ9798 Should start out fairly easy and get more difficult as the week progresses! Easy? Can you tell me who tees off on the 1st hole of 18 holes in a tournament at Dusk with the sun setting in the background when it is essentially dark? Is that supposed to be a realistic time to start your round? Couldn’t see the terrain or any of the supposed rocks at all. Just pitch black on the ground. The lie grid and green grid were the only thing visible because the game lights them up. Fyi, be sure and turn the brightness up, … way up, … on your tv or monitor.

Square for 16 holes in the 1st round +8 for the other 2. A crazy ricochet into water off a rock and 5 shots to get down from inside 40 metres on 18. Oh well a missed cut it will be then.

I honestly do not know what peoples problem is ?? . Making excuses constantly about lighting , rocks blah blah blah . Play the course as it is and take what it gives you . I decided many weeks ago now to play with a shorter driver 277 and the most forgiving irons . Then on a course like this hit the fairway as they are massive ( I hit 100% fairways in round 1 ) then play for the centre of the green and take you medicine . I want to say a very well done to TanMan for this course , the environment for a "DESIGN " competition is first class as is his execution . So remember this course was built for a Design competition representing the country he was allocated !!! . Also well done to Dan Dan for having the balls to schedule this course on CC , bravo sir , bravo . I am glad this has made some people sh%$ itch and gives some lesser players the chance to shine by playing tactical golf !!!.
