I didn't have a problem with the game setting me up OB, and you can see the stakes there, so it should be a bit obvious. And it was nice to have a week with absolutely no lag. On the other hand, you may as well come to my house and smash my TV screen if we're going to keep playing dawn/dusk overcast rounds. HB needs to add an LED ball and glow sticks for those conditions. I saw the stakes. I thought they were telling me the good side was the OB side bc the setup point was straight down the OB fairway. People need to stop using the OB tool even if it’s that way IRL. Let us dig our way out of trouble or choose unplayable.

OB is also used to stop you deliberately going onto other fairways and therefore becoming a danger to other golfers.

I'm -10 through 36 holes this week on CC-E and surprisingly I scored better in Round 2 (-6) with the higher winds and my tempo was way off. I kept an eye out for the OB on the course and made sure I avoided it, even if it meant clubbing down and settling for par. I did find a bit of lag throughout the course on the Xbox, but you get used to it after a while.

Hole 16 everyone be real careful the game lines you up right off the T box out of bounds got me for a couple strokes.. I think this is a serious design flaw on an otherwise nice course. Why on earth would anyone do that? I don’t understand the logic of this fairway cut grass being OB. Even if I hit a ball on the fairway of another hole it’s still playable. Perhaps it's not a fairway and actually the nicely manicured lawn of Downton Abbey or whatever the building is there. The out of bounds markers are to keep the riff-raff out, and if you attempt to retrieve a wayward ball Lord Ponsonby's gamekeeper will suddenly rush out brandishing his blunderbuss. Or maybe it's a design flaw. Whatever.

This is the first time I've played a course on 2K21 that I've actually played IRL, albeit some years ago. I struggled to recognise large parts of the course (probably because I didn't use the fairways when I actually played it) but it was cool seeing a few bits that I remembered - particularly 7 (visited the ditch before the green twice) and 13. Also confirmed that, despite the vagaries of the timing system and whatnot, I am still far, far better in this game than in actual golf - to the tune of about 28 shots.
Also, I have vague memories of thinking the 16th green was designed by a total w*nker, which chimes well with my experience in round 4 of the tournament.
Final aside, I believe the area to the right of the 16th is OOB because it's part of the second course at the club.

Or maybe it's a design flaw. Whatever. It’s not like I was the only one tricked up by this. Outside of the elite 1%, the game on league settings is challenging enough that it doesn’t need trick ups. In this game, on this course, it’s presents itself as fairway per visual and per waypoint plotting combined. As a designer there are times when it needs to be understood that this a video game and some poetic liberty needs to be taken with RCRs that have sections of the course that setup like this. If the waypoint was set properly it may not have presented a problem for so many people. But it leads us directly into the OB fairway and it gives the appearance that the white stakes are defining the real fairway as OB. If the game still had flybys it would have also shown that OB as part of the hole. Yes, we all could have brought up the overhead view but honestly, who does that on every hole, if any, until after the fact? One of two things could have corrected this, and I’m surprised the Rangers didn’t take issue with it: 1. Replace the OB fairway with rough Or 2. Move the middle waypoint to the actual fairway. Even with all that, it’s all good. Just a video game. It was just frustrating to land a ball in what appeared to be a good area only to have it cost us strokes.

Is there a break in between seasons of theTGC Tours?
Or do they just start fresh the week after the final week of the season?

There will be a break.. probably close to a month give or take a week And then what happens? Does everyone have to requalify and get repositioned or do you stay in your current spot and just continue on when the new season starts? I never realized the season ended. Lol

Lol Previous new seasons have seen you start where you finished the season before
