Welcome to the Vancouver Classic which this year is being held(pause for effect) North Carolina. Ah the outrage from the geography police which to be honest is even more fun than the grammar police. There is nothing like watching a stream and people freaking out that a course looks nothing like a place where a event being held, good times. Its a beautiful day here in Ireland, clear sky's, 25 degrees, I am fully vaccinated, you know just one of those days that seem right. Lets say I decided to go for a walk after I finish writing this and see two tourists out enjoying all Ireland has to offer during its one week of summer time, one is just your average American, one is just your average Canadian. I would not be able to tell them apart, they would look the same, dress the same, sound the same, so logically, they are the same, therefor Vancouver and North Carolina are the same place which is how I am justifying playing this even in North Carolina. Of course, should I really want to tell the two tourists apart, I could just bump into them, the American would shoot me with his concealed weapon while the Canadian would apologize for bumping into me but outside this minor difference, the same. Anyway, this weeks event is being hosted be tgctours resident hilbilly, the one and only Terry Grayson. As a treat for all kinetic players this week, Terry promises to wear his cleanest wifebeater , tune up his favorite banjo and give guided tours of Buzzard point. Visit the Buzzard Point meth lap and take a meth cooking lesson. Visit the site of the Buzzard Point trailer park disaster where a tornado left devastation in its wake, search through the wreckage to see if you can find a souvenir to take home. Pay a night time visit to the Buzzard Point forest, where rumor has it a family of i cannibalistic inbred hillbillies await those that take a wrong turn. This tour has got to be the highlight of the week, I spent 3 months in North Carolina a few years back and never got to see anything like this, I am even godfather to a genuine West Virginia mountain living, forest dwelling hillbilly and never got to see this either when I visit there. just normal people that could not be more welcoming but dammit, this is a kinetic tour post and stereotypes are fun so if I want you to squeal like a pig while playing your rounds you better damn well do it. So good luck, have fun and enjoy your visit to Vancouver in North Carolina.

Well I started, and promptly gave up when the swing tempo went absolutely bloody everywhere. I don't know if it's just because I'm tired but I haven't seen it this haywire for a few weeks at least. No use trying when it's like that.

No use trying when it's like that. Not sure what console you're on but I've had similar issues on Xbox last few weeks. Rarely enough it's not a huge deal but occasionally really bad stuttering that wasn't the case at all since November or so. Having said that I only had stuttering on two or three holes on round one. Played well for a -11 with a stupid bogey at the last. Pretty pleased with that.

PS4 which normally plays pretty well. The 10th tee was almost unplayable with the lagging, most of the rest of the course was fine though. I just got to a point where I couldn't hit anything but red slows no matter how quickly I pushed it. I recalibrated the swing after trying restarting it twice, and it finally behaved itself. Unfortunately I think the damage is already done with a rubbish round of +2.

Was -10 thru 12 holes in round 1 and ended with six straight pars. It frustrates me to no end when I'm playing well and the people in my house decide THAT's the best time to start being a major distraction. FFS!

-8 second round to be -6 after two. Probably miss the cut. Had too many tempo issues, often hitting slows when the game lagged and stuttered. Shame really as I like the course.

Came back to shoot -8 in R2, so I'm sitting at -18 at the halfway point. Hopefully that gets me to the weekend.

That is really a beautifully done course, lots of excitement and nice to look at as well. I am right on the cut line at -13, suspect that will not hold up but at least no demos this week. I felt OK with my -8 for round one, and the first handful of holes in round two got it to -11. Then for some reason I completely lost my putting stroke! I had a 3-putt from 5 feet, burning the edges twice, and then a FOUR-PUTT from 7 or so feet again with a cellophane bridge over the hole. Had it not been for that I would have made the cut easily .

Was going to take the week off to get my game in order but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play in my hometown tourney! Surprised myself with a made cut and -24 for the week which I’ll definitely take.
P.S. Go Canucks go!

I fizzled out with bad tempo over the weekend but it was fun to be back on Kinetic!
