I've been trying to get the new swing down and have played dozens and dozens of rounds, but for every good round of -7 to -10, I score four times as many +4 to E rounds, resulting in missed cut after missed cut. Recently played a few rounds with swing tempo off and that was much more fun. Anyway, are there any societies or even tours that have swing tempo off. Feel like I need that type of thing for a breather from all of the frustration in trying to get my swing down. Am I doing something wrong? I've calibrated my swing, but maybe I'm just too old to get the "feel" I need to get that perfect swing consistently. Anyway, thanks!

Master swing is a clusterf**k that's for sure but turning tempo off is maybe a bit extreme. I recently played in a pro swing society and it was much more fun with less head scratching tempo results. Some here have found a way around inconsistent master swing tempo but I suppose it depends on how much time u want to put in and where u are happy with on the leaderboard.

A way around?? I don't want any illegal help...I'm looking for some suggestions, so what do you got? And yes, swing tempo off is extreme, but it did feel nice to have the ball go where I expected it to for a change. So, Pro is more consistent with tempo?? I had no idea..guess I'll try that and see what that's like.
I don't expect to hit perfect every time, BUT, it just seems SOOOOO inconsistent for me. I don't know how so many players are having no trouble at all shooting in the -40's and -50's?? And I ALWAYS played wired, so that's not the issue. I'll be waiting for your suggestions. THX!

I don't have any illegal help, all I was suggesting is pro swing as it's quite a bit easier but still somewhat challenging and more reliable. Those shooting minus 40 or 50 are serious about every detail in shot calculation and basically live for the game. Never been my approach at all.

Well I started using the Dual Shock 4 plugged in on the PC a few weeks ago and to say the tempo is night and day more manageable than with a Xbox One controller or my recent purchase of a Series X controller is an understatement. Really enjoying the game again as my fast and slow tempos actually feel like fast and slow tempo now. Just wish I changed over ages ago.

OMG...Pro is so much better for me!!! Thank you!! I'll keep trying on Masters, but Pro is much more enjoyable! I thought the tempo was the same for every tier for some reason. Thank you again!!

The DAM society plays legend with no tempo, but the courses are either adventure courses, par 3 courses or mini golf, but are a lot of fun. Also NTT is another society with tempo off but on legend as well. Legend with no tempo isn’t as hard as you think except putting is a little tougher

It's good to hear Pro is working for you. For me, Pro is pretty dull, with 100% fairways and 90-100% greens. It then becomes a putt-fest: one putt, birdie; two putts, par. I've been playing Master since the game was released. I'm hitting about 57% fairways and a little more than that for GIRs, with over 700 rounds in. And I've been keeping statistics on my own once the changes came. While my overall scoring has dropped a bit, fairways and GIRs are the same. The thing with the changes is that if you mishit red or slow, the ball will fall short off the tee but often land in the fairway. I know that if I'm averaging close to 300 yards on my drives, then I didn't have many red fasts or red slows. If I'm averaging 280 or thereabouts then I've had some problems. Tempo is the same for every level. The obvious reason why it seems different in Pro is because the forgiveness area is wider. What might be a red fast in Master becomes a gray fast in Pro. Pro, quite honestly, is not challenging enough for me. What I don't like with the changes is that though you will lose a lot of distance with red fasts or slows, the ball doesn't move that much left or right, unless your swing plane is off. I think they should have increased the left right movement with the slows and fasts, but not taken so much off, distance-wise. A fair compromise, I would think.

Increasing the dispersion on left-right movement but keeping distances the same wouldn’t have eliminated the Red Fast cheesy style of play. Aside from the excess penalties to distance on splash, pitch and flop, the patch brought the game to life for many players. Console differences aside, of course. The putting mechanic has never been my favorite, but it’s not terrible. The sweet spot for 2K22 is probably a combo of Pro/Master. The patch makes me wonder what difficulty level TGCTours would’ve landed on if the game was this way at release. Pro maybe? I think it would’ve still fallen to Master due to the more-challenging and competitive style of play, but who knows.

It's simple - just use the TGC2 swing mechanic along with TGC2 ball spin/flight, paired with all the visual upgrades, in-game stuff that most don't bother with (divot derby, etc.), club selection component, etc. - all the new stuff that isn't gameplay - and whoa-la, best golf game yet.

Legend perfect sweet spot with pro size of cone. The penalty for missing perfect is way too harsh atm on masters. Whilst pro is too easy to hit perfect if that makes sense.
So harder to hit perfect but less punishing if you don’t. I’m tired of just being a little off tempo and missing my shot by miles.

From reading a ton of post red/fast patching posts, most people complaining about it seem to want exactly this.
