How many weeks are you allowed to not play before you are penalized/removed/whatever for inactivity?
Having moved to XSX, I no longer can get perfects on pro difficulty (not even close) and Master difficulty is even worse - nothing but red fasts or slows. Not sure it's worth the frustration playing 2 rds just to earn demotion marks.

1. Somewhat daunting uphill drive that will make you choose between laying up in front of the bunker or try to crush over it. I choose the land in the middle of it every time employee a sand wedge to the middle of the green. All in all not a difficult starting hole but you can make it pretty challenging with some poor decision making. Not convinced that there is a way to clear that bunker.
2. Some trouble picking up the contrast between the fairway and rough here. Make sure that you have the correct surface picked out to aim at. Laying up in front of the bunker certainly makes it a three shot hole. Even choosing the left lane, hitting it out 310 still left another 310 to the pin. Round three end of the wind makes us really long. I missed the fairway left it required a two additional hybrids and a pitch from 50 yards. Definitely want to avoid the right side on your initial approach. Send protects pretty well against Errant long attempts into the Green.
3. Albatross waiting to happen. Don’t overthink it. This green though at least in round two was so lightning quick, my pitch rolled through it twice… with the backspin even. Par here is losing a stroke to the field.
4. This hole can definitely get you in trouble with your tempo is poor and you end up in that front bunker. The green will sneak away from you as well so make sure you choose your spin control and loft correctly. There is a nice backstop in case you come in a little hot.
5. This drive looks pretty wide open but beware the ridge that runs diagonally across the fairway that will push your ball One Direction or the other on the hop. The downhill rollout will leave just a short pitch in to the green. Pretty simple slope pattern to it as well so Aim left or draw into the right. Pin at the back will roll… I got 20+ feet of roll on a wedge that went right in the cup.
6. You will want to start left as there is a tree halfway down the fairway on the right side that will take down any long approaches. There is water out there on the left as well, that should be out of play but just be cognizant of where it is. A well struck drive should leave a mid range to long iron… A miss will have you laying up next to the pond. 7. Another well-placed bunker to adjust your driveline. A longer hole so you definitely want to be in the fairway for the best results on your approach shot. The fairway definitely falls off to the right which will pull any wayward shots into the rough. Anything out of the rough is going to want to die in that front bunker. Pin 4, i’m right of the pin and try to get it about pin high as the putt cross even at 40 feet is relatively flat, which beats blasting a 70% out of the trap.
8. Longer par three with a cliff to the left so feel free to work the right side of the green down to the pin. There is a false front as well that will protect against the shorter pin placements.
9. Another gut check left. Cliff is very close to the fairway so play fade down the right side to combat that tendency. Slopes that way too. Uphill approach with a false front again so you may want to play an extra club and putt back.
10. A good drive in the fairway will shorten the hole significantly… A great 100% plus drive in the fairway will turn this into a pitch and putt. You probably want to be a little bit longer because those bunkers upfront take away any bounce a potential in the drop off behind and downhill approach run the risk of going along pretty easily. Learned that using the pitch shot out of that bunker as opposed to the splash will work pretty damn well.
11. Sneaky danger right at your Key Landing points. The bunker on the left in the hazardous drop off on the right will infringe on any missed hits. Fairway has a little slope to it so on approach recommend working your shot in left to right.
12. Driver scared the sh%$ out of me here… hit 3W and left a nice easy pitch around most of the sand traps up front. You can gain a few yards and a better angle with a driver, but it better be true. Narrow hole with water trouble and will sneak up and snag some doubles and triples.
13. Even though it is downhill you don’t want to be anywhere close to the front of the green or you will get some spin and bounce back into that front trap. Wind will eliminate any of the downhill relief as well so don’t club down too much.
14. A very small green so you want to be close enough to choose your most accurate clubs for your approach shot… Driver may put you in one of those tweener pitch ranges, while hybrid or 3W May be better suited to keep you in a full club length. Pin one seemed to be in a pretty flat location but broke substantially on my four footer for birdie.
15. More danger at your landing point on the drive… Your approach will be to another small green, so sitting at the top of the hill in wedge range is optimal. Even a slight Mishit got me to within 15 feet.
16. This will be a significantly harder hole than most expect on first glance. The bunker is quite visible. However if you try to work in right to left and don’t hit the green surface your ball is going to kick right about 20 yards, leaving a very long rebound pitch. Once the wind starts howling, balls are going to be all over this place. I think I can sum up everyone’s Xbox experience with this right here. Trying to gauge the feel for a 90% hybrid I took one absolutely perfect practice swing, then no matter what I did for the next 50+ practice swings could not get out of a red slow. Just had to except it and eventually shanked one up on the right front edge 35 yards away.
17. LOLOLOL… this drive. OK I was pretty stumped here. I tried to cut a 90% driver around the hazard and ended up right in it. Fairly easy to pitch out from there chip on and tap in, but feel like there should be a sure fire strategy for birdie here. Went long one time in the pitch back up the hill was pretty tough. 1/4 on the green, which I felt was pretty successful. I’m going to deem trying to hook or draw the ball around from the right is impossible.
18. Pretty straightforward for a closing Hole. Avoid the left on your tee shot, as that tree will block the approach. The green is a little small but it’s also giving you a nice bowl shaped into the middle. Loft it up and let it fall right in.
All in all, course is short and aside from two or three holes, pretty flat. Only a couple places to really run up some penalty strokes. The fairways are peppered with strategic bunkers. Laying up short is not always the answer so sometimes you just have to trust in God that you’re going to hit something in the gray or white.
Had some varying results in practice going -2, +6, +5, -7... the +6 was just not getting enough perfect with the stronger winds... the +5 was pure tempo hell. Someone noted the conditions in round 2 was creating lag issues, so beware.

And after cruising for the first several holes, then didn't heed my own advice on 6 after missing the fairway and chunked the approach into the lake which spawned 8 bogeys in the final 13 holes to finish +4, included another sloppy decision to hit driver on 12 straight into the water... so frustrating to hit nothing but perfect on the range, and be locked in for 5 holes and have nothing but red slow (with one inopportune red fast) the rest of the round.

I’m going to deem trying to hook or draw the ball around from the right is impossible. If you have the right wind, fully lofting a driver or 3W over the trees will carry to the green. I’ve done it all 3 times I’ve played the course (on its debut and now on the tour) and have made birdie 2x and should have had another today but the putter failed me. It’s a dicey choice, but it’s doable

-8 at the cut in CC-B probably won't make it. Glad to be under par again. Mediocre -1 in round 3 followed by a nice -8 63 in round 4. Best week in a long time including round 4, even if it doesn't count that did feel pretty nice.

I don't know if I found something or just got lucky, but -6 in rd 1...on XSX. Promising start.

I don't know if I found something or just got lucky, but -6 in rd 1...on XSX. Promising start. Must have just got lucky. What worked a day ago, didn't work today. Red fast, red slows and something like +5 for the rd at the par 3 w/ water left. Proceeded to hit two or 3 tee shots (red fasts) into the water. Think I was putting for 7 or 8 from like 40'. I threw in the towel. So damn frustrating.

Well after a long lay off after the dreaded Covid was not sure what I was letting myself into after all the changes with the swing etc but bit the bullet and went through Q school again and ended up in CC-C which is two above where I was playing before so not sure long I’ll stay there 😄 Anyway managed to make my first cut and sitting at -7 through two and two above the cut line so cant complain given that I’m still not yet comfortable with masters and the new swing even though I always strived for perfects. Entered Beer League to start with as thought that would be more relaxed which it is but I just get so much more satisfaction having an under par round and getting birdies on master and of course each to their own but going to keep on with this now and see where the luck takes me 👍

I had a real chance of winning my 3rd green tick and making Kinetic this week. -16 thru 2 rounds, 3rd round I somehow managed to grind out a 68 despite only hitting 5 greens in reg, the stage was set for a good last round on greens I enjoy. Nope, had an absolute shocker! On to the next one...

I played your ghost on the first two rounds Jamie and it started making me think I should go back to Beer league 😄 You played really well and I thought if you continue like that you’d be close to the top. Consistency is the hardest thing with the game it seems but fair play to those two good rounds 👍

I've given myself half a chance a couple of times now and can't quite get it over that line. Problem is there's always a bad week around the corner and then I'd be back to square one. Making Kinetic has been the goal all season, and it remains just out of my grasp. Nice to see you back playing Jonny, and C Cubed no less!
