We are on to week 40 in Elite and the course this week is Vale da Lua by trailduckerThis was part of the national treasure design contest, and as you can see in the name, this course represents Angola. Avoid the rocky penalty areas and there are plenty of chances to score around the course this week. Good luck everyone! From the designer: My submission in the 2021 National Treasure Comp. Based in the 'Valley of the Moon' canyon in Angola, Africa. The course is carved out of the jagged erosion cliffs to create many elevation shifts throughout the round. This rugged course does have a lot of OB in the Burrancas surrounding the holes but pretty forgiving landing areas in between. Par on every hole is safely achievable, but going for below par is where the risk/reward really come into play.

I just steal all the glory by posting the weekly threads.

Thanks so much toddfather but more important thanks you jwtexan for taking all the credit! hahaha I hope everyone enjoys their round! This is popping my TGC Tours scheduled cherry! The course is defintiely a second shot course, so I advice to pay attention to the green slopes and pin position and what angle is best to hit to them from before just pulling driver out. For the longer Par 5's the tighter drive usually means a better chance to make the green in 2, but that's a skilled second shot as well. Wider driver landing zone means a safer second shot that usually makes the hole a 3-shoter. Feel free to offer all critics as I value them as a way to get better! Especially as Charlie mentioned Hole 6 were I tried to go full digital bunny and if you aren't the man himself, you never go full digital bunny! lol Also the greens were never meant to top 164 so if they are at 187 blame Texan and Todd! hahaha

Stunning course on the Xbox series x. And even more stunning with my Dolby atmos surround sound. Really felt like I was in the desert 🏜 with the birds and bushes making noise behind and all around when I played. Was expecting scores to be more around par this week. But appears everyone is going low again.Personally thought it was very difficult for me and shot a -4 for 2 rounds ... and I thought that I did extremely well. This will most likely make me miss my 7th cut in a row

Really fun course. Man I really enjoyed the difficulty of the Par-5's.
Unfortunately another missed cut incoming. Can't seem to get settled from the swing changes, and I've always played for perfects. Oh well, will continue to work at it.

Glad everyone is enjoying this week. trailducker did a GREAT job with this one! GL all!

I'm bacccckkkkkk. Howdy Boys! Cut made but in the Peleton as my cycling friends would call it (don't cycle but at least that's what they call the mediocre fellas in the group) However, making the cut means the Black Salt I smuggled home from last week worked. Let those boys up north continue to flambé those bland pork chops, we know this place is the real flavor town!!

Fun course but I couldn't find any consistency with my approach shots so was a very frustrating -2 opening and -4 second round (where I actually finished with 4 straight birdies). For me I thought the course felt a little like a version of that GA course that is no longer available to play. . .relatively easy pars as long as you keep it in play but also easy to bogey if you don't stay focused, while birdies or better are well earned. That par 3.5 (17?) is awesome and would make for an interesting match play finish.

I think I had the most impressive finish I've ever had in any golf game ever. Birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie, on 18 in 2 and made 8 to miss the cut by 2 (by the looks of things). That's a different way to play the last 5 holes in one-under :-)

Would you Adam and Eve it, You just cannot make it up, what a proper Rodney I am, #Crapster. Picture the Scene, Played Monday Morning, all good. I was -11, 17th tee Rd2, which I Bogeyed, right ok, thats fine, Par 5 18th to play, Par at worst -10 gives me a shout, right, ok, concentrate, right, here we go, Drive, ooh a good un, Fairway found, options, lay up/driver to green, didn't like Pin placement, thought i could find Bunker just Right of Green with 3rd shot if i did lay up, ok, so went at green with Driver, pinged it, great, ball finds 1 slope lefr of pin, tickles down, stops at top of next Red Slope, GRRRR, ok Green in 2, 3 Putt Par, thats my plan. Get to Green, jeepers how do i keep this Putt on the Green, I literary Farted on the Ball, it Goes past hole, over Fringe, Down into Bunker, lol, so ended up being there in 3 anyway lol, hit my 4th shot, finds Green catches Red Slope, back to my feet, 5th shot I managed to keep on the Green, right,ok, hit Green in 2 now putting for Bogey, ok -9 might squeek in, Miss Putt, Tap in for a DOUBLE -8 Finish. Said to myself cut will be -9 now i can blooming guarantee it, watched leaderboard all week, hopefully squeeking in, look this morning, and yep, missed cut by 1, absolutely wounded.

At least you played 10,11, and 12 well compared to me. Hope you do well next week at Hideki!

But on your third shot you were 78 feet away and could have technically chipped that.
