Hello everybody! I have now published my second course on PGA 2k21 called “The Club at Little River”.
This course took me nearly 6 months to complete as I am a bit of a perfectionist and I made sure every blade of grass and bump in the terrain was as realistic as possible. This is the follow up to my first course “Doback-Huff CC” if you’ve had the chance at playing that as well…
“The Club at Little River” is a challenging, yet fair course for all players. Though a fictional course, I did my best to make it as realistic a course as possible. It is meant to be located in a secluded, wooded, location (northeastern Ohio/western PA). The fairways are mildly firm with considerable roll, while moderately narrow. The greens are firm but with room for error, though much break shall be expected with all 4 of the different pin locations (Pin 1 is the main one). Sand bunkers along the fairways and around the greens are plentiful and soft, though forgiving. There is a first cut of the rough that outlines the fairways and greens to be a bit of a safety net for imperfect tee shots and heavy rough playing long/deep and unkind to a very inaccurate tee-shot. There is a river that runs through the entirety of the course as water comes into play on a total of 11 holes but can be viewed on many others, with some retaining walls detailing and weaving its way along the edge of the grass/waterlines, (water holes: 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18). Then there is beautiful bright red pine straw intertwining below much of the treelines within the course layout. There are no cart paths on the course as it is meant to be a professional-style walking course. However, this version of the course is the tournament version, so that means there is a full tournament setup that includes grandstands, designated crowd areas, camera towers, and various other objects.
The clubhouse comes with a full private club-type setup as there is a practice putting and chipping area, full scale driving range, professional tennis courts, a basketball court, a member pool, and various dining areas around the premises. The clubhouse also has a multi-leveled deck/outdoor seating area that overlooks the 18th green, along with beautifully planted flowers and colorful trees to bring a brightness and sense of beauty that the golf club prides itself on bringing on and off the course. The full-scale driving range comes with 7 practice greens, ranging up to 350 yards with practice bunkers to hit from as well. The outdoor patio/tennis court area overlooks much of the 18th hole to give the golfer a real tournament feel as they make their final walk into the luxurious and well-planted clubhouse and ending their round with a combination of beauty and added pressure from the large crowd that awaits them.
The overall course terrain has many hills as shots will be hit uphill and downhill by up to 40 feet or so and I used strategic lighting manipulation to ensure the best look for the golfer to play the course with. There are 5 different sets of tee boxes for different levels of golfers, with the tips, gold (tournament) tees playing at 7,137 yards. There are four par 3’s, ten par 4’s, and four par 5’s, to complete my par-72 masterpiece that is “The Club at Little River”.
It is my hope that everyone plays and enjoys my course and any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Now… go tee it up!
Also, below I attached some sneak-peak pics of my course from holes: 1, 2, 3, 10, 18, and around the clubhouse festivities, as well as the course's scorecard.
