Wow, environment was something I haven't experienced before, nice texture combos, some nice work here. Tee shot framing was memorable on a bunch of holes, which doesn't happen often. A really enjoyable round, but I'll nitpick... feel like you may have shortchanged yourself with some very perfectly circular centerline hazards. I also got caught in a bunker which basically didn't allow me to get out of (hitting LW splash) because of the post/brush height. Overall, some real good work. Cheers bud.

How cool is this? Check out the Lofoten Links No Laying Up YouTube video to see how TeeeJ9798 absolutely nailed this!

I think I might build a tour version with extended tees and some harder greens. Hopefully, it won’t take away from some of the hole designs, but 1,3,5,9,11,12,13,15,16,18 can all be extended fairly easily.

Nice job with this. Liked how it played and the planting was nicely done. Great use of the plot and loved the tunnel and elevation changes.

Yea I did notice several “spare” tee boxes and other paved areas around the plot so there’s lots of opportunity to increase the yield.

I just played this course and I cannot even express in words how much I enjoyed it. Truly a work of art and plays so well. I always zoom out when I play what looks to be a beauty to see exactly what was done with the plot and I'm just always amazed, this one especially, at the vision. I'm looking at it thinking "I would never even see something like that as a plot before starting my course". Makes me realize I just simply cannot compete with these skills so I'll stick to playing rather than designing so much lol. Amazing course.

I wasn’t planning on playing any more courses today, but since you asked so nicely...
Again, what a fantastic environment! I fell in love with it right from the first tee shot. Really felt very fjord-y and melted glacier, with some stunning views to boot. The lighting was simultaneously my favourite and least favourite part of the experience, as it certainly made me feel like I was playing in the Arctic summer sun, but it also meant that a couple of the areas in shadow (and when the clouds came over) were almost pitch black, but that’s partly a problem with the monitor I’m on at the moment too, so I can’t complain too much. The rocky, grassy areas made the plot feel cohesive and really contributed to the feel of the area, and I loved it. Also clever how you use them as hazards on multiple occasions.
Some other small thinks I liked were the bunkers with wooden walls. Very cool looking. Luckily I never went in one either, but I was happy to admire them from a distance. The hole designs were, for the most part, good fun. I wish 11 was a touch shorter, to really bring the green into play and perhaps force a very long putt. As it is, my drive came up just short of the green and was an easy up and down for birdie. I can imagine that if I was a member here, I would have an affinity for a hole on one side of the rock, and would dread playing to one side but love the other. Originally I wasn’t sold on the double green on 18, and think I would have preferred the bottom green (I played to pin 1 on the top) but after muffing my way up the hole, the view I had back down across the course for my bogey putt was phenomenal and it makes me wonder why you bothered with the bottom green at all!
I think you used the view across the course and sea well, but would have liked the holes using them to be a little more impactful. As mentioned, 11 was strong but could have been better in my opinion. I also think that the view came into play on one of the longer par 4s (maybe 8) which almost felt like a waste, covering all that ground in one shot when you could have maximised the number of shots using that stunning vista.
Routing wise, a very quirky start but this time it worked for me. Taking until the 5th hole to play a par 4 is something I’ve not really seen before, but I felt like I settled into my round pretty fast. Driver off the deck second shot of the day to set up an eagle chance really makes or breaks the round before it’s even started, so that was a tough call and I loved it.
Finally, one minor gripe. The hills in the background felt empty but perhaps you ran into meter issues and I’m happy you didn’t sacrifice the rest of the course for it. (Also, your flag doesn’t hold up when viewed from behind LOL).
Overall, fantastic course. Best of luck in the contest!

Easily one of my favorite courses from recent contests. Sad to see this one not make it through, but pumped to see what you come up with for the Dream Team.

TeeeJ9798 Bump Went back and gave this another whirl earlier. Loved it again - the greens play great and the environment is class. I'm still not sure about the decision to split the fairways on 18, and there were a couple of routing things I questioned, but I still love this course and I'm glad I've played it a couple of times. Great course

I have published (Viking's Par 3 Adventure). A little adventure par 3 course through the main course. Kinda fun and kinda stupid.
