This week on elite we finish up our tour of world cup of design courses with Pinnacle Ridge (Tourney). A VctryLnSprts redesign with assistance from toddfather , CiB0RG , csugolfer60, and TeeeJ9798. This course will offer plenty of scoring chances if you can avoid the waste area that surrounds every hole. Enjoy! From the designer: Pinnacle Ridge is a fictional course based in Arizona that is meant to be friendly for all skill levels, but more difficult with higher green speeds, firmness, and wind conditions. Most players will find that shooting under par on this course is fairly easy to do, but with no water or penalty areas (except for the driving range), there's not much trouble to get in to out there. Enjoy!

Big THANK YOU to Wes and Curtis for putting the redesign on TGCTours. I hope the competitors enjoy their rounds without too much frustration. The course is a bit different than what you're used to, but don't be afraid to hit a 3 wood from the tee sometimes when it makes sense, and you'll find the course pretty friendly.
Have fun!

Got demoted from Plat so it's my first week back here on Elite. Absolutely LOVING this course this week. Such a welcome change to not have any long carries that result in water balls if you're just a hair fast. I've been laying up on all the Par 5s and have found that to be a pretty successful strategy so far. Also finding that the greens are rolling incredibly well, which is excellent. Was somehow able to put together two of my best competitive TGC rounds so far post patches to start, with a -12 in R1 and a -11 in R2. Sitting at -23 heading into the weekend! Will be saying some prayers to the Xbox tempo gods over the next couple days. Hopefully they're good to me when I fire up R3 and R4! Cheers, lovely course.

Having made the cut last week and finishing dead last my 5 bogeys are going to cost me this week thats for sure -8 thru 36H's but as I've already said, my 5 bogeys will see me missing the weekend, on a plus note I beat gavlaar124 thru those 36H's Good luck all, play well.

My 5th elite event. And looks like my 5 th missed cut. Oddly I have no demotion marks. Keep on missing the cut by 1 or 2 shots each time

Tale of two rounds for me... A very disappointing Even Par round 1 followed by -11 in round 2. I played the rounds one after the other so I have no real excuse other than I'm terribly inconsistent!

As a fan of this course, it is crazy how much worse it plays after the red fast changes. If you aren't perfect tempo off the tee on every hole you are basically dead. And the landing zone in the 280s off the tee is awful on most holes (Because it didn't used to matter), then you constantly get put between clubs because of it. This course is meant to be played with a 300yds driver and a 260 3w which I no longer have in the bag because of the RF change. playing a 285 Driver and 235 3w you are completely @!$#ed here. Looking forward to when these courses get out of rotation.

I wanted to take a minute to apologize to the schedulers, jwtexan toddfather , for letting my frustrations and emotions come out on my streams recently. It has been a brutal grind since the swing changes and while I mostly love them, the combination of them plus the increasingly tough courses / conditions scheduled Prior to the changes has been a tough pill to swallow. I know it takes some weeks to get out of what is already locked in, but it has been a @!$#ing grind to get there. So shout out to you guys for putting up with my b%&ing and I am sorry for not being for mindful of what you put in on a weekly basis. I wanted to thank you for doing all of this for free, taking time away from other things that you would rather be doing, and running the Societies for all of us to enjoy. Cheers!

Oh pal. Don't sweat it. Personally, I love a good Marc rant and can definitely take it. We are absolutely in a weird stage right now though as schedulers and designers. There are still a level of players who can hit the perfects and the nerfs hardly changed. And then there is the majority of us who are just struggling to get by currently.
I think you'll see newer designs come out with this in mind, and we have definitely lightened up on some of the conditions in the coming weeks as well, but can't help that we are playing courses that were mostly built with 300+ red fast drives in mind.

No harm, no foul on my end buddy. Obviously Wes & Curtis are doing a great job, so I actually see this as more of a failure on my part as the designer to be honest. Your assessment about landing zones on this course is not wrong, and if I had it to do over again there are many things I would change on this course, which is why I don't take any offense to your feedback about how the tempo changes have effected the playability of certain designs. I appreciate the selection to be on tour, but I will definitely think through the new swing changes on my future courses to help with this scenario. Thanks gents, good conversation points.

I totally get where you're coming from like I said last night, Marc. I too have been a victim to the new swing and just haven't had a ton of time to "figure it out", hence my demotion. We all try to compete at a high level here (for the most part) and a lot of us are very competitive. When it's good, it's good...but for a lot of us, it's been frustrating of late and I join you in that. Wes and I are constantly trying to find a happy medium between being a complete grind session and scores in the -50's. You always tell it like it is, and I like that. I never have to guess where you stand. I do appreciate the apology though. Also, some changes will be made to the conditions next week to help make it a bit more enjoyable (hopefully lol).

All good man, don't be too hard on yourself. You were basically designing for a different game at that point. I loved it when I first played it at release. It's more of a comment on just how the new swing impacts everything, and how different a course can play just by switching out a few clubs in your bag.
