If I'm remembering correctly, going back to last week and looking through round 3 this week, our wind settings have been: high, very high, high, high, high, high, very high.
Is that correct?
And not that it matters...lovely course, we all know that, but found some of the pins in round1 settings to be just about the same - if not further on the edge - as what was discussed last week when 187's were thrown in.
GL everyone, see you for my 2rds next week.
The pin on I think the 12th, the par 3 was a bit rude. When you’re aiming 3 foot left on a 6ft putt, that could be considered on the edge 😂

So, basically, we need more very high wind rounds and less rounds of 'just' high winds to even things out a bit... I take it that's what your trying to say and, if so, I could not agree more!

That par 3 in general is a bit rude haha It's based partially off of a real Hole referred to as the "Devil's Cauldron". 200 yards and 70 feet downhill to a very harshly sloped green. Considered one of the best par 3s in Canada if not the world! It's definitely a pure evil hole through and through

Well through round 1 and it’s safe to say that there are 2 demo marks coming my way. Tempo was awful and that leads to a lot of bad situations. Sitting on 3 demo marks and setting up for BSV to bend me over, break it off, and walk of shame me beach down to elite.
I got to play Talison on Elite a few weeks ago and had just as much with this set up, shame my game wasn’t up to the challenge!

I think I’m on a personal best of 7/8 missed cuts in a row Perfects are few and far between. That said I thoroughly enjoyed this weeks course.
Hoping like hell I Stay for the Us open after all this toil.

Spectaculary erratic second half of the tournament with a double and a triple bogey... 😂😂😂
Total: -34

-20 thru 2. If I made some putts the first 2 rounds we could’ve been up with the leaders. I somehow managed to miss 3 dead straight putts in round 2 which was interesting 😂 but also promising knowing that if I can actually keep the swing plane in a straight line we might have a chance, we shall see, good luck everyone 🏌️♂️

Just passing here to shout something. This course here... it's like St-Andrews on short tee without wind compared to next week's course! 😂

I realize we've laxed the old days rules of colored gridlines within the pins 9box, but I thought we still had the "no red" rule?
Not trying to be a downer or nag - this round made literally no difference to me since I'm way out of the cut consideration - but felt like it was worth mentioning. I also saw round4 was high wind too, so I won't re-add to my list earlier, but that's nothing but high or vh in the past 2wks.
Not trying to hate on you at all Q, btw, though I fear my recent comments will be read that way. Just bringing up/discussing things as they stand out to me, hope you understand there's no ill will involved - your job isn't an easy one...nor one that pays very well

I know exactly what hole that is and it's very strange to me that it is red there. Was very clearly orange in playtests though the colors look different at every angle of putt. really was trying to avoid 156s here so looks like I missed that one! My bad. I have some "breather" weeks coming up after ramping up for the American Open (you guys deserve some after all these hard ones) As for High Winds, Medium winds return next week (but thats cheating, that course is something else), the week after the course will have one medium as well as it's more of a breather week. The last two courses scheduled with medium winds ended up having -20 cuts so I'm a tad hesitant scheduling them is all.

No worries Q, the grid lines have always been a bugaboo through the years. And as to conditions in general…don’t worry about me! Lol conditions aren’t really the driving factor in my play these days. Thanks again for keeping the tour schedule up and running.

I think that high winds are fine for most courses. We haven't played with the wind meter showing the MPH in a while now up here, but I think the range in 2k21 is 8-14 mph for the high setting, no? Someone can correct me if I am off. That seems reasonable for the physics in this game and for comparing to IRL what you would see out on a course. This is, after all, the "top level of players" under the TGCT format, so challenging them both by the course itself and with the conditions should be welcomed. I'd rather see a lot of high wind settings rather than switching from medium to very high if that makes sense. Medium is fairly tame here and scores will drop with dial a distance. The physics can get a bit wonky with very high on the other end of the spectrum. High wind setting is a reasonable compromise most of the time if the course allows it. Again, IMO, and just my little 2 cents on the matter. I think B.Smooth13 is bringing it up more as a "samey" kind of thing more than anything, though. I get that, too.
