Oh Canada! This week we are at a Classic course from the man who brought you Taliesin Golf Club, rjwils30 ! When I think of Canadian Golf, I think first of the course architect "Stanley Thompson" who to this day has some of the best Canadian Courses featuring a distinctive bunkering style and a unique affection for routing courses entirely around optimum par 3 locations first and foremost. While this isnt exactly a Stanley course one of my fellow (extremely Canadian) course architect nerds affectionately referred to this course as more of a "stanley-lite" course that can gently introduce you to some of the ideas presented by him (I've also heard that if you type "Stanley" three times in the design section of the TGC Forums late at night he will show up and politely lecture you on all the merits of a Stanley Thompson course) Generally featuring some pretty knee-shaking shots on par 3s and lengthy par 4s with pillowy bunkers framing the fairways, I expect this course to play quite difficult this week. This Penultimate Canadian Test is but a setup for next week's "Big Golf Weekend"! I look forward to seeing how you guys shoot out there!

I'm f*****g baaaaack!!!! Had a few days to get use to my new gaming mouse to replace my old logitech wireless clunker and I'm back in love with the game. Tempo is way better and yeah I still chalk up a few red fasts but nowhere near the randomness of my old mouse. Started with -8 and -9 this week and hoping for my first cut in a long long time. Cheers

Still here... ๐๐๐
Bit of a wild first round with multiple bogies but still -12 for the round. Second round was the opposite; par-train and could only get to -8, while feeling a better score than the first round would have been possible...
-20 will still make the cut, I would think?
Good luck all, Frans

Jaw dropping course, stunning.
And laughing at the above pondering if -20 will make the cut. Well played.

Jaw dropping course, stunning. And laughing at the above pondering if -20 will make the cut. Well played. Glad to hear I put a smile on your face and sorry if that was a silly comment - I just felt I left at least 5/6 shots out there in round 2, but maybe Iโm expecting too much these days... Iโm not quite used yet to not be worrying about the cut and demo marks... ๐

Played it early, was the first player on the course saturday night. I'll probably tee off early everytime now. I liked it.
-4, -3, -9 & -5 for -21 total. Had some terrible holes in first 2 rounds, but in general I was striking it good. I just didn't have alot of good anwsers for this course. What a chance I was in the mood for yellow-orange putting, it saved the day. Loved the course. There's diversity in the difficulty. This course is not a one trick pony. Whatever your weakeness is, the course will found it!

Played after coming back from the bar last night, which never usually ends well. Somehow managed to mostly keep it together and get back to -22 at cut and -40 overall. Left some shots out there in round 3 and 4 but very happy overall.

Replaced with a wired Razer Deathadder V2. It's a bit longer and lighter which may be why I've started to have a few wild swing plane deviations, but my consistent tempo out weighs that by miles.

I tip my chefโs hat to anyone who doesnโt make bogey or worse over the course of the week. Did i say, tip my hat, or eat my hat. Either way I think Iโm safe. Gauntlet Laid. ๐จ๐ปโ๐ณโณ๏ธ

Great course, some really punishing tee shots if you get a little too greedy. -24 at the cut. Bogeyed that monster par 4 6th in round 2 after just creeping into the thick stuff, only blip on the card.

One of the best courses of the season! I'm probably going to make the cut and get rid of that last demo mark as well. Had this happen early in R2 And then three holes later had a more sketchy situation happen Good luck to all yet to play and also to those with rounds yet to finish this week!

If I'm remembering correctly, going back to last week and looking through round 3 this week, our wind settings have been: high, very high, high, high, high, high, very high.
Is that correct?
And not that it matters...lovely course, we all know that, but found some of the pins in round1 settings to be just about the same - if not further on the edge - as what was discussed last week when 187's were thrown in.
GL everyone, see you for my 2rds next week.
